Internet Measurements Day

During the Internet Measurement Day leading professionals from Internet Development organizations will provide the targeted audience with a better understanding of the Internet measurement tools and systems, such as RIPE Atlas and Identifier Technology Health Indicators (ITHI), deployed by ICANN, as well as Routing Information System (RIS) and RPKI. Special attention will be also payed to RIPEstat, that is a large-scale information service and the open data platform of the RIPE NCC.

There will be also a place for local counterparts to share their experience in using internet measurement tools and platforms.

Key participants for this activity are: ccTLD, Network Operators, Academia

The activity is organized and co-hosted by Council of .

Vahan Hovsepyan from RIPE NCC will provide an information about the initiative, Agenda and will moderate the event.

Alex Semenyaka will represent RIPE Atlas System, RIPEstat and RIS.

Mikhail Anisimov from ICANN will represent IHTI.

Albert Toneyan from Armenian Internet Traffic Exchange Foundation (ARMIX) will represent internet measurements done by ARMIX.

Meeting will be conducted in Russian and English

Profiles of Presenters

Vahan Hovsepyan, RIPE NCC, External Relations Officer, Central Asia and Caucasus.

Vahan is in charge of developing cooperation and engaging stakeholders from the respective regions, including RIPE NCC members, Governmental Agencies, Academic institutions, and industry development organizations. Vahan graduated from the Armenian-Russian (Slavic) State University and completed courses in the Maastricht School of Management and the John F. Kennedy School of Government. Vahan has extensive experience in working in and with industry development organizations, IXPs, and international organizations.

Alex Semenyaka, RIPE NCC, External Relations Officer-Technical Advisor, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Alex ("Oleksiy") is an External Relations Officer for the RIPE NCC (Eastern Europe and Central Asia) and is based in Moscow. As part of the External Relations team, he helps lead the RIPE NCC's engagement with membership, the RIPE community, technical bodies, academia, law enforcement and other Internet stakeholders. As Technical Advisor, Alex also follows Internet industry and government developments related to ICT, particularly in the former Soviet countries, monitors and attends industry conferences and meetings, representing the RIPE NCC there, and works with internal stakeholders to enhance the RIPE NCC's training activities. He is currently a Chair of ENOG Programming Committee and a member of RIPE Programming Committee..

Mikhail Anisimov, Global Stakeholder Engagement Manager, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, ICANN

Mikhail works with ICANN as Global Stakeholder Engagement Manager Eastern Europe and Central Asia from 2020. For the last seven years, Mikhail worked in internet hosting and domain registration, holding various positions with ’s largest host providers and registers. In 2013, as part of the Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development, he played an active role in launching the .МОСКВА and .MOSCOW domain zones. In 2014 he joined the ccTLD team where he was working in press-service and in staging the industry events. Mikhail Anisimov is a member of various industrial organizations and was an organizer of thematic conferences and forums concerning domain registration, hosting, internet infrastructure and cybersecurity. He was representing Coordination center in different domestic and foreign internet conferences and makes lectures for schools and universities about internet infrastructure and information security.

Albert Toneyan, President, Armenian Internet Traffic Exchange Foundation (ARMIX)

Albert Toneyan is a President and Technical Supervisor of Armenian Internet Traffic Exchange Foundation (ARMIX). He is well known as one of the founders and a Vice President of Internet Society Armenia, also serving for long years as a Board Member of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises. He is also a founder of WEB LLC, a network provider that was one of the pioneers of Internet industry development in Armenia.
