Consideration was given to the applications received for financial assistance.
RESOLVED that the following applications for financial assistance be approved:-

GV13 Welsh Church Fund Applications
RESOLVED that in accordance with the previously agreed criteria a grant of no more than one third of costs up to a maximum of £1,000 be made to the following from the Welsh Church Fund:-
(i) Bedwas OAP Hall
(ii) Beulah Baptist Church, Abertridwr
(iii) Cascade Methodist Church
(iv) Elim Baptist Church
(v) Ruhamah Pentecostal Church, Aberbargoed
(vi) St. Catherine’s Church Caerphilly

For the reasons outlined at the meeting the following application for Welsh Church Funding be refused:-

GV17 Welsh Church Acts Fund
(a) Crumlin Pentecostal Church – Change of Trustees One third of cost to a maximum of £!,000
(b) Mynddislwyn Male Choir Councillor A.J. Pritchard declared an interest in this item and left the meeting. A £100 grant (£50+£50 start up grant) be awarded from Financial Assistance and a letter be sent to clarify ownership of the graveyard .
