South California’s en- dowed Mark Fisser who is the first and only deaf 1986 ABC Star of Tomorrow and has currently the league’s top average 220, matched against Bob Jones who presently leads his Wednesday night scratch league at Harley’s Simi Bowl with 236. In the first game Fisser doubled in tenth to win with 216 against Jones’ 210. Jones, with 6 strikes in row, took the second game 255 to Fisser’s 211. Fisser’s 3rd game started with 5 in row, two tapped 9 pins and finished with 247 against Jones’ 203. The 4th game was Fisser’s 214 as Jones ran out of gas with a 170. The total pins was Fisser’s 888 to Jones’ 838. Fisser’s 888 and Jones’ 838 were the only two 800s of the day in the league’s day honor roll of 6 bowlers. The league President Ed Abakumoff had a 211 in his 744, Leroy MacMonagle hit a 736, Dan Flores had a 201 in his 728 and busy secretary Treasurer Bob Taylor a 707.
