Sunday February 6, 13, 20, 27 Preservation Detectives: Patterns and Paint, 1pm Equipped with magnifying glass, binoculars and notepad, families will investigate the exuberant paint patterns that enliven the main sanctuary of the 1887 Eldridge Street Synagogue, a magnificent National Historic Landmark that was recently restored. Children will uncover the techniques used by the artisans and then create their own stenciled wall-paper design.
