KaiOS

KaiOS is a -based mobile that "merges the power of a with the affordability of a ".[1] It is forked from B2G (Boot to ), an open KaiOS source community-driven successor of Firefox OS which was discontinued by in 2016.[2][3][4]

Primary features of KaiOS is to bring support of LTE, GPS and Wi-Fi with HTML5-based apps and longer battery life onto non-touch devices with optimized , less memory and energy consumption.[5][6] It also features over-the-air updates.[7] A dedicated app marketplace called KaiStore enables users to download applications.[8] Some services [9] [10] come preloaded as HTML5 applications, including , and YouTube. It is very light and is able to run on devices with just 256 MB of memory. As of February 2018, KaiOS Technologies has partnered with Airfind, Facebook, Google, Twitter, Bullitt, Doro, HMD Global, Micromax, NXP, Spreadtrum, , Jio, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile.[22][9]
