Från latinstjärna till världsstjärna. Idag släpper 26-åriga Maluma sitt femte studioalbum, lyssna på ”Papi Juancho” här. Albumet som fått sitt namn efter Malumas alter ego innehåller 22 låtar med gästspel av Darell, Jory Boy, Justin Quiles, Lenny Tavarez, Myke Towers, Ñejo & Dalmata, Ñengo Flow, Randy, Yandel, Yomo y Zion.
Tidigare i veckan försvann Maluma från sociala medier för att igår återvända och via en Instagram live berätta att han idag släpper albumet ”Papi Juancho”. Maluma har 100 miljoner följare på sina sociala medier (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook och Twitter) och hans dedikerade fans spred nyheten vidare som en löpeld.
Maluma gjorde en hyllad konsert i Globen den 22 februari tidigare år och har sedan dess jobbat på ny musik hemma i Medellin, Colombia. Från albumet har Maluma sedan tidigare gett oss succélåten ”Hawái”, som i skrivande stund är #8 på Spotifys globala topplista. Se videon till Hawái här;

Albumet är producerat av The Rude Boyz (Kevin ADG och Chan "El Genio") som jobbat med Maluma sedan hans första album. Låtarna är skrivna av Maluma tillsammans med Edgar Barrera, Kevin ADG, Chan "El Genio", Miky La Sensa, Vicente Barco, Juan Camilo Vargas mfl.

"Its a very complete and detailed album. For example, the track 'Medallo City' is a trap mixed with salsa, a genre I hadn't experimented with in my music, and all of what it says in the lyrics, is slang we use in Medellin, specifically in Envigado, where I grew up. I want to show my culture and I want people to see where I am from, I'm from Medallo City".
