David, or ‘CJ’ as he is known, is a US-based Australian.

When he is not racing , CJ runs Helifilms - a helicopter filmwork company which provides aerial images for feature films and the world’s biggest sporting events including the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and FIFA World Cup. CJ has flown helicopters himself - in both filming and stunt-based roles - for box office hits such as Transformers, Star Trek into Darkness and Déjà Vu. CJ is also a Producer for his own film and television production company.

CJ took up motorsport in 2011 after attending a club event at California’s where he sampled a friend’s BMW and since then has contested a season in IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge, where he finished 2nd in the Gold Cup class in 2012 having won a race at the legendary Mosport circuit in Canada. A third-generation member of the Davison racing dynasty, Alex Davison’s international racing resume reads as one of the most impressive among Australian drivers.

A veteran of 149 V8 Supercar starts, Davison is also regarded as a ‘gun’ driver, and with very good reason. Davison’s history with Porsche dates back to 2000 when, as a teenager straight out of , he raced for Manthey Racing in Carrera Cup Germany.

Davison is the only Australian driver to win a race of having won at Indianapolis in 2002, and also finished second in the 2008 Le Mans Series, partnering good friend and Porsche factory driver at Team Felbermayr-Proton.

Domestically, Davison is a former champion and twice runner-up in Age: 34 Carrera Cup, and a pole winner and podium finisher in V8 Supercars. A Porsche factory driver of over 10 years, Patrick Long is one of the world’s best GT/ sports car drivers.

That fact is indisputable with Long having the following titles to his name … three (ALMS) GT2 championships, two class wins in the , a class win in both the Rolex 24 at Daytona and 12 Hours of Sebring, 23 ALMS race wins and a host of successes in top-line sports car series including Grand-Am, VLN Masters and Pirelli World Challenge.

While Long has become synonymous with Porsches, he is also incredibly versatile. In 2013, Long won his class in the off- road race and has previously raced in NASCAR road course events. Competition Motorsports (CM) is an American GT sports car team and Porsche racecar preparation service based in Tujunga, California. CM was established in 2006 by GT racer Bob Faieta and has competed in the GTC category of the American Le Mans Series as well as the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge, where CM and Faieta are three-time champions (2006-08).

CM’s GT3 Cup car will be prepared and run by McElrea Racing (MR), one of the leading Porsche racing teams and tuning experts in the southern hemisphere. MR currently runs five cars in Carrera Cup Australia, in addition to campaigns in Carrera Cup Asia, GT3 Cup Challenge and the Porsche Sport Driving School Australia and its own MR Tuning and MR Driver Development programs.

The Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour is Australia’s longest - and arguably, toughest - circuit endurance race held at the holy grail of Australian motorsport, Mount Panorama in .

This year’s 12 Hour is the 13th running of the race which is fast becoming a ‘must win’ event on the international GT racing calendar.

The 2014 event will play host to the world’s best GT teams and drivers and a number of V8 Supercar aces representing 15 manufacturers.

Competition Motorsports will be competing in Class B for FIA GT3 specification cars. Of the 15 entries in Class B, 13 are Porsche 997 GT3 Cup cars.
