THE HERTFORDSHIRE (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN , SANDRIDGE, , SANDRIDGE) ORDER 2019

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Woodcock Hill, Ayot St Lawrence/Sandridge from its junction with Coopers Green Lane south westwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with House Lane, a distance of approximately 2572 metres.

An alternative route will be via Coopers Green Lane, Oaklands Lane, Sandpit Lane and House Lane.

2. that length of B653 Lower Luton Road, Wheathampstead from its junction with the B651 Lamer Lane/B651 Station Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with Marshalls Heath Lane, a distance of approximately 1637 metres.

An alternative route will be via B651 (Lamer Lane/Ballslough Hill/High Street), B652 (High Street/Kimpton Bottom/Bower Heath Lane) and B653 Lower Luton Road.

3. that length of Nashes Farm Lane, Sandridge from its junction with House Lane north eastwards to its junction with Woodcock Hill, a distance of approximately 1259 metres.

An alternative route will be via House Lane and Woodcock Hill.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 October 2019 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

A copy of the proposed Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
