Here you can find the information about supermarkets and products to look for: The supermarkets listed below are linked to Brazilian meat industry supply chain.   Sainsbury’s  Edeka   Rewe   Casino  Albert Heijn  Jumbo  Dirk van den Broek  Beef products 1-) Corned beef/canned meat A lot of the canned beef sold in the EU is prepared and packed in Brazil. It is sold under many different brands, including private label items of large retailers. Look for a stamp on the cans containing a number called “S.I.F.” (see pictures below). Take a picture of the can where the number is visible and then send it back to us. We can use the number to locate the specific industrial plant where this beef was produced. Additionally, also take pictures of the CNPJ number that usually appears on the label (like in the picture below). That is another useful info for locating industrial plants.

You might also find corned beef – canned or sliced – packed in the EU but made with meat from Brazilian origin. Eventually information about this will be available on the label of the product (like in the image below). If that is the case, you should also take pictures of the label about the retailer and packing companies involved. Eventually we might be able to track down Brazilian suppliers selling meat to such companies. Other cornbeef products you can look for at the following supermarkets: Aldi: https://groceries.aldi.co.uk/en-GB/p-the-deli-5-slices-corned-beef-175g/ 4088600020341 https://groceries.aldi.co.uk/en-GB/p-bramwells-corned-beef-340g/4088600146195 Tesco: https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/257589358 Rewe: https://shop.rewe.de/p/tulip-corned-beef-340g/8035239 Sainsbury’s : https://www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/product/afro-caribbean/exeter-halal-corn-beef-340g

2-) Beef jerky That is another product commonly packed in Brazil and sold in the EU. Logic here is the same: you should take pictures of SIF and CNPJ numbers on the label (see example below) Jack Link’s is one brand to pay attention. A lot of their beef jerky is produced in Brazil by JBS. But there might be other brands from Brazil being sold in the EU as well. Also, if you find beef jerky packed in the EU but made with meat from Brazilian origin according to the label, take pictures and let us now.
