10 EUR’s modern Woudestein campus on the eastern side of Rotterdam is home to RSM. Recent campus renovation and redevelopment projects have extended and improved studying, living, dining and leisure facilities to provide more sustainable and environmentally friendly accommodation and operations.

EUR aims to increase the sustainability rate of the Woudestein campus from

seven to eight, and to reduce its CO2 emissions by 30 per cent. Primary energy use will decrease by 45 per cent. In the long-term, EUR aims to render all of Woudestein energy neutral. The third and final phase of the campus redevelopment project is underway and will be completed in 2020. RSM.NL/CAMPUSVIDEO

Goal setting was incorporated into the BSc student curriculum after it became apparent that a lack of clear goals and motivation are important causes of students underachieving and dropping out. A multi-step online goal-setting programme has been developed and tested. It requires students to conceptualise, articulate and plan their desired future, supported by mentors. One of the end products of the programme is the formulation of their desired future in the form of an I WILL statement. Research among several groups of first-year RSM students has shown this goal-setting exercise has a strong, positive effect on student performance and retention rates. Every student and employee at RSM is invited to have an I WILL photographic portrait taken to accompany his or her I WILL statement. Students’ portraits and I WILL statements travel with them, through their studies and graduation at RSM, and to the start of their careers and beyond.
