Our gardens are a year-round destination for delight, from spring blossoms and butterflies to the summer debut of the Japanese Garden to chrysanthemums and a winter wonderland of holiday traditions.

Events like Sunday Mum Day drew families to enjoy interactive activities, tours, demonstrations and visits with our resident horticulturalists.

Our extensive education programs touched the lives of a wide variety of guests.

PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOLS Lifelong learners make up an important audience for us. For them we presented Programs for schools always draw thousands of participants. Families participated in our Animals Adventures collaboration with John Ball Zoo, our Who Am I butterfly ballet collaboration with Grand Rapids Ballet, our interactive Cozy Tales for Winter Days story-time presentations, and year two of Tranquility Zone: A Japanese Garden Environment for Families. Waiting lists for virtually all of our summer camps as well as our Grandma & Me classes indicate great popularity and excitement about these offerings.
