The Quakes loaded the bases in the first inning, but couldn’t push Modesto 21 17 .553 5 Stockton 14 24 .368 12 a run across. It wasn’t until a solo home run by the Rawhide leadoff hitter Jorge Barrosa that the scoring began in the third. DeLuca was a 25th round selection by the Dodgers in the 2019 MLB Draft out of the University of Oregon. DeLuca was also San Jose at Modesto, 7:05 PM drafted out of high school in the 39th round by the Minnesota Twins after his time at Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California. Lake Elsinore at Inland Empire, 7:05 PM JIMMY LEWIS: The Quakes will be trying to get back into the win column tonight with Jimmy Lewis on the mound. Lewis will be making his sixth start of the season tonight, and is still in search of that first win of the season. The Quakes are still growing Lewis as a starter, as he has yet to pitch through three innings in any of his previous starts. Lewis had some bad luck in his last start at Lake TOMORROW Elsinore, where he surrendered three runs, though all of them were of the unearned variety. The Quakes spent five pitchers on the Visalia at Rancho Cucamonga, 6:30 PM mound last night, so this could be a game where a little more length out of Lewis on the mound would be a most welcomed sight. Stockton at Fresno, 6:50 PM Lewis was a second round pick by the Dodgers back in 2019 out of Lake Travis High School in Austin, Texas. San Jose at Modesto, 7:05 PM JUSTIN MARTINEZ: The Visalia Rawhide are coming off a huge win in last night’s 10-2 beating of the division-leading Quakes. Martinez is coming off of his best outing of the season against Inland Empire. Martinez pitched 5.2 innings and allowed just two hits, while strik- ing out eight batters on the night, which was a season high for him. Martinez earned his first win of the season in that last start, which LOW-A WEST SCOREBOARD was also the longest start of his season as well. The Diamondbacks signed Martinez out of Bonao, Dominican Republic back in 2018. YESTERDAY ROSTER MOVES: The Dodgers released OF Brandon Wulff on Tuesday and transferred OF Ismael Alcantara to the Rancho -Cu camonga roster from Extended Spring Training in .
