TANNER CONFERENCE EXHIBITION International Grant Program This fund supports Wellesley’s mission of educating women who will make a differ- ence in the world. The grant seeks to recog- nize the contribution that international not-for-profit organizations have made to Wellesley in providing significant off- campus learning experiences for Wellesley students and alumnae. The purpose of the grant is to provide funding to organizations with demonstrated need that have hosted Wellesley students or alumnae for intern- ships or other learning experiences outside of the United States. http://www.wellesley.edu/CWS/ students/v.html

40 wellesley in the world TANNER CONFERENCE EXHIBITION

The Tanner Exhibition provides students the opportunity to learn about Wellesley’s international-study, internship, and fellowship programs. Faculty, staff, and student representatives from these programs will be available to speak and share information with students. International Study Every year, nearly 250 Wellesley College students participate in semes- ter or full-year international-study programs in some 32 countries. Roughly 40 percent of those who study internationally are enrolled in Wellesley College-sponsored programs, with the remainder selecting programs sponsored by other colleges, universities, or international- study providers. Internships Wellesley College supports a large and diverse number of summer internships and community-service projects in the United States and around the world. This summer, more than 300 students participated in 52 internship programs in 33 countries. Fellowships Wellesley College offers fellowships for graduate study or research that are open to graduating seniors and Wellesley alumnae. Each year, the College supports approximately 30 women in both national and interna- tional programs of study or research. In addition, faculty committees assist candidates in applying for national fellowships, such as the Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Truman, and Goldwater.
