‘WITNESS TO MURDER: A DARROW MYSTERY’ Cast Bios

KIMBERLY WILLIAMS-PAISLEY (Claire) – Kimberly Williams-Paisley has been starring in film, television and theater for over 25 years, and she is also a New York Times Best Selling Author for her book, Where the Light Gets In, published by Penguin Random House in 2016.

Williams-Paisley began her career with the films Father of the Bride and Father of the Bride Part II and went on to star in many other movies as well as the long-running television series “According to Jim,” among others. Most recently, she co-starred in The Christmas Chronicles with Kurt Russell, and she completed filming on “Jolene,” part of an anthology series with Dolly Parton, both for . Her next project will be to film the fourth installment of the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries wheel Darrow and Darrow, which she executive produces and stars in, opposite and Tom Cavanagh.

Williams-Paisley is a spokesperson and advocate for the Alzheimer’s Association and she hosts an annual fundraiser for the organization. Additionally, she and her husband Brad Paisley are starting a nonprofit organization called The Store, which aims to empower low-income families in the Nashville area with a free grocery store.

TOM CAVANAGH (Miles) — Golden Globe nominated actor/director Tom Cavanagh can currently be seen acting in and directing Warner Bros. “” on The CW. He additionally completed post-production on his short film Tom and Grant, which he wrote, directed and starred in opposite his “Flash” co-star Grant Gustin.

In addition to his current series, Cavanagh has extensive television, film and theatre credits. He starred on and directed NBC’s “Ed” (for which he received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance). He was also nominated for a Daytime Emmy for Showtime’s critically acclaimed “Bang Bang You’re Dead.” Additional television credits include NBC’s “,” CBS’ “Love Monkey,” ABC’s “” and TNT’s “Trust Me” opposite Eric McCormack. Recent film credits include the thriller 400 Days, the upcoming indie Offer & Compromise, Yogi Bear with T.J. Miller and Justin Timberlake, Two Weeks opposite Sally Field and the controversial Breakfast with Scot, which was dubbed the “gay hockey movie.” Theatre credits include Broadway turns in Shenandoah and more recently the Tony Award-winning Urinetown.

Directing is a major focus for Cavanagh and his additional credits include various theatre productions, the New York-based “Money Game” and the feature film Faith.

In his spare time, Cavanagh works closely with Nothing But Nets, a grassroots campaign of the United Nations Foundation to raise awareness and funding to fight malaria in Africa. Born in , Canada, Cavanagh lived in himself as a child and contracted the disease.

Currently, Cavanagh splits his time between and Vancouver, where “The Flash” is filmed.

WENDIE MALICK (Joanna) – Wendie Malick’s theater credits include Off-Broadway productions such as North Shore Fish and Burleigh Grimes. In Los Angeles, she has performed in Big Night (The Kirk Douglas Theatre), Questa, Round Trip, The Santaland Diaries, The Vagina Monologues and The Underpants. Additional credits also include: The Guys (Studio Arena), Don’t Blame Me, I Voted for Helen Gahagan Douglas (Wooly Mammoth), Blithe Spirit, What is the Cause of Thunder? (Williamstown) and Closure (New Jersey Rep).

Malick is on the board of The Environmental Media Association and is a spokesperson for The Humane Society of the United States and Return to Freedom, a wild horse sanctuary and advocacy group. Through their charitable gift fund, A Drop in the Bucket, she and husband Richard Erickson support a medical center in the Congo. They live in the Santa Monica Mountains with four horses, a donkey, two dogs and a 16-year-old.
