GUIDE Griswold Papers
SCOPE OF THE COLLECTION: The Griswold Papers contain both original and researched items. In the first category are autographs of Governor Matthew (1714-1799), Governor Roger (1762-1812), and Augustus Henry (1789-1836), including the subscription for the public school in Black Hall. Among the second are early family histories by James (1828-1892) and Charles H. (1838-1907) . Finally, there is complete correspondence on the construction of the Black Hall Memorial Bridge in 1888.
