GETZLAFGOLF SHOOTOUT
Bene ting | Ryan Getzlaf is a forward in the National Hockey League and the captain of the Anaheim Ducks. He was a gold medal winner in the 2010 Olympics for team Canada, has made two All-Star appearances in the NHL, and also won a Stanley Cup with the Ducks in 2007. When Ryan is not playing hockey, he spends a great deal of his time giving back to the community; he and his wife, Paige, take an active role in supporting organizations like CureDuchenne. The Getzlaf Golf Shootout is a spectacular, two-day charity celebration held at the beautiful Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point and Sutra in Costa Mesa. Join gold medalist and NHL All-Star Ryan Getzlaf, along with a host of other NHL stars, celebrities, and community leaders, all coming together in support of CureDuchenne.

GETZLAFGOLF SHOOTOUT CureDuchenne is a national nonpro t organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for Duchenne – the most devastating and lethal muscular disease in children. One in every 3,500 births results in a child being a icted with the disease. Over 24,000 boys are living with Duchenne in the United States alone and most will not survive their mid-20s. The disorder knows no ethnic or social boundaries.
The organization was founded by Paul and Debra Miller in 2003 after their son was diagnosed. At the time, there was not an organization focused exclusively on nding treatments for Duchenne. Today, the world’s leading scientists are working with CureDuchenne to help determine the most viable research projects and to accelerate the clinical trial process. Our goal is to halt the progress of the disease by bringing potential life-saving drugs to help this generation of Duchenne boys.
