SANTA MONICA, CA (August 10, 2018) – Aniplex of America announced during their Industry panel at Otakon in Washington, D.C. that the enormously popular series FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST: BROTHERHOOD will be making its triumphant return as two Blu-ray box sets. The box sets will be released as two sets scheduled for release later this year. Each set includes 7 Blu-ray discs packaged within a rigid box illustrated by creator, Hiromu Arakawa. The box sets will also include a booklet, four total special OVA episodes, a 4- panel comic theater as well as textless openings and endings from all five seasons. Both box sets are scheduled for release on November 20th; however, fans can pre-order both sets now at RightStufAnime.com. This show first launched in 2015, and, after one hundred and fifteen episodes spanning nearly four hundred and fifty hours of content, reached the conclusion of its first major narrative arc in October 2017. In this time, the show has attracted a dedicated fanbase of thousands. In 1987, Barbara co-founded the Woodrow Wilson High School Alumni Association with Kyle Rains. She made sure it was properly incorporated and set up as an IRS 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization for the benefit of future generations of Wildcats, and she served as WWHSAA’s first President. Since 2009, she has been Vice-President of WWHSAA and a Member of its Board of Directors. In 2001, she co-founded the Dallas High Schools Alumni Association to coordinate alumni activities and programs between Dallas High Schools and is its Vice-President. Barbara’s business background with Sun Oil Co., Dr. Pepper Co., Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Texas, as a small business owner, and as a Consultant and Fund Raiser, combined with her community service experience with Metrocare, the Dallas Motion Picture Classification Board, DISD’s Commission for Education Excellence, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, and the Komen Race For The Cure have provided valuable insight and ideas for helping Woodrow and Woodrow Alums. In her work at BCBS’s Caring For Children Foundation, she developed a statewide outreach program that has benefitted thousands of uninsured and underserved children in Texas by providing more than 1,100,000 free immunizations. This is a free private program that is the only one of its kind in the U.S. and has brought numerous acknowledgements from cities and counties throughout the State, as well as Resolutions of support from the Texas Senate and House of Representatives. -

Hans miljardärskollega Lex Luthor blir rejält avundsjuk och bestämmer sig därför för att kandidera till president av Gotham City. Till sin hjälp tar han Jokern som utvecklar ett kryptonitvapen, "The Destructor" och tillsammans sätter de staden i skräck. Jokern lyckas dessutom förstöra Batmans teknologi och Batman tvingas därför, något motvilligt, vända sig till Stålmannen för att få hjälp. Regissören och producenten bakom filmen är Jon Burton (LEGO® Star Wars, LEGO® Harry Potter), manuset står David A Goodman (Family Guy, Futurama) för. TT Animation har gjort animeringen och filmen kommer med såväl engelskt som svenskt tal. -

Prolog einer neuen Welt Digitales | Games: Kingdom Hearts 2.8: The Final Chapter Prologue Manchmal kann es wirklich schwer sein, ein episodisches Spiel objektiv zu behandeln, tragen wir doch alle ab einem gewissen Zeitpunkt eine Art (rosarote) Nostalgiebrille mit uns herum. Umso schwieriger wird es, wenn diese Brille, wie im Falle ›Kingdom Hearts‹, bereits seit 15 Jahren auf unserer Nase sitzt. Die Sicht beginnt langsam zu verschwimmen, die Bügel wollen nicht mehr richtig sitzen – und dennoch! Irgendwie irgendwie möchten wir sie dann doch nicht einfach so abnehmen. Findet DANIEL MEYER. Logisch – es sind Teile unserer Kindheit und Jugend, die sich hinter ihr verbergen und die wir, gerade bei einem Spiel wie ›Kingdom Hearts‹, nicht ohne Weiteres missen wollen; die farbenfrohen und spannenden Begegnungen innerhalb dieser durch Disney und Square Enix gekennzeichneten Welt, das Erleben der vielen Abenteuer mit Sora und seinen Freunden, alles Dinge, die uns früher einmal das Leben versüßten und nun an die »gute alte Zeit« erinnern lassen wollen. – Problematisch wird es leider nur, wenn man einmal über den Gläserrand geschaut hat. Wirrwarr Square Enix tat in den letzten Jahren nicht gut daran, die Produktion der vielen Nachfolger auf unterschiedliche Plattformen und Konzepte zu verteilen. Die große Anzahl an Spin-Offs und Konsolenwechseln machte es für viele Fans schwer, dem ohnehin schon komplexen Plot zu folgen und ließen so große Löcher in der zuvor relativ linear zu verstehende Erzählstruktur entstehen. ›Kingdom Hearts 2.8 – The Final Chapter Prologue‹, als vorerst letzte Spin-Off Version, soll nun diese Lücken füllen und uns einen ersten Einblick in den von vielen sehnsüchtig erwarteten dritten Teil der Hauptsaga liefern. -

Woerner Sellers, 1930 The "unsinkable" Titanic ocean liner and Louise Woerner Sellers both launched in 1912; but only Louise is still afloat. An honor student at Woodrow, Louise was on the committee that designed the 1930 Class Ring, which she held onto for 83 years until she donated it to Woodrow in 2013. Like many of our hall of Famers, Louise did not take the easy path to making her mark. In 1941, married with one child and another on the way, the unexpected death of her husband left her widowed with children to support. To make ends meet, Louise cut grass, took in sewing, and when her new son was only 4 months old, took a secretary position at O.M. Roberts Elementary school. From there, Louise moved on to progressively better paying secretarial positions with a variety of employers including GMAC, U.S. Engineers, Burris Feed Mills, and Airmaid Hosiery, ending up at the J. Hugh Campbell Company in 1950. It was called The Flag Store and then mainly sold flags and badges. Louise did much more than secretarial work; she sewed flags and once had to sew 1,700 red satin garters for a film productions company.
