The young Sky Blues were shown up by APIA Leichhardt Tigers last round and will need a huge performance if they are going to beat United 58. Robbie Stanton’s players will need to be on high alert for an in form Panny Nikas who has carried much of the creative and goal scoring burden for the Reds. There’s also been a resurgence of former Sydney FC defender Riley Woodcock who starred in United 58’s victory against the Wolves last weekend so keep a close eye on his exploits. The fast and expansive game of Sydney FC has caught teams off guard before this season and it will prove to be their best weapon to secure all three points. 1ST GRADE - PLAYSTATION 4 NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Rockdale City Suns FC 6 5 1 0 15 7 8 16 2 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 6 5 0 1 15 5 10 15 3 Sydney Olympic FC 6 4 2 0 9 3 6 14 4 Blacktown City FC 6 4 2 0 11 6 5 14 5 Manly United FC 6 4 1 1 15 10 5 13 6 Sydney United 58 FC 6 3 0 3 11 9 2 9 7 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 6 2 2 2 13 11 2 8 8 Wollongong Wolves FC 6 2 1 3 6 9 -3 7 9 Sydney FC 6 1 0 5 8 12 -4 3 10 Parramatta FC 6 0 2 4 7 17 -10 2 11 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 6 0 1 5 9 20 -11 1 12 Sutherland Sharks FC 6 0 0 6 7 17 -10 0 5 FIRST GRADE #PS4NPLNSW APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 3 - Sydney FC 0 at Lambert Park APIA Leichhardt Tigers has returned to the winners circle with a comprehensive 3-0 PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition win against Sydney FC at Lambert Park. In a match of end to end action, APIA looked in control for almost the whole 90 minutes with goals to Tasuku Sekiya, Sean Symons and Matthew West securing the result and all three points. It was a tough day at the office for Sydney FC who could not make the most of their expansive play and never truly looked threatening. The result gives APIA five wins from six starts and has the side firming as one of the PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s competition favourites. Sydney United 58 2 - Wollongong Wolves 0 at Sydney United Sports Centre Sydney United 58 cruised to their third straight win with a 2-0 PlayStation®4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s victory against Wollongong Wolves at Sydney United Sports Centre on Easter Monday. A first half finish from Riley Woodcock and a thunderous shot from Panny Nikas secured the win for the Reds as the side continues its incredible form revival. Justin Pasfield was in great form for Wollongong between the sticks but his heroics could not save his side from defeat. It was another frustrating result for Wollongong who were unable to build on the momentum from last week’s win against APIA Leichhardt. 6 ROUND 6 NPLNSW.COM.AU TEAM OF THE 01: LARGE USE: OVER 150MM WIDE This logo has a smaller ‘®’ symbol 02: FOOTBALL NSW WOULDSMAL LIKEL USE: TO55MM THANK - 150MM WID THEIRE SPONSORS FOR THEIRThis CONTINUED logo has a larger ‘ ®SUPPORT’ symbol 7 FEATURE STORY #PS4NPLNSW 8 PHOTO GALLERY NPLNSW.COM.AU 9 UNDER 20s #PS4NPLNSW 24 Nikola UJDUR 26 Alex ABBULLAH 25 Jay FOSTER 27 Josh BRISKOSKI 26 Leo MALFARA 28 Ante VRLIC 27 Cooper COSKERIE 29 Matthew ZANON 28 Finn BALLARD-MCBRIDE 31 Emilio MANOS 29 Ben VAN MEURS 34 Liam IVANCIC 30 David MALISHEV 36 Ante MARKOVIC 31 Paolo BONNANI 37 Kyle DOMENICI 32 Harry VAN DER SAAG 38 Anthony TRIMBOLI 33 Guiseppe TILIO 39 Daniel SESTAN 34 Perry THOMAS 40 Lucas PERVAN 35 Alex GOLLAN 41 Anthony POLJACK 36 Daniel BLACHURA 42 Daniel DIAZ 37 Sam HAMILTON 43 Tony YANG 40 Duro DRAGICEVIC 44 Luke VLASTELICA Coach: Antoni Zmire Head Coach: David Zdrilic Assistant Coach: Rob Stanton Manager: Ian McKenzie UNDER 20s - PLAYSTATION 4 NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Sutherland Sharks FC 6 5 1 0 24 6 18 16 2 Sydney United 58 FC 6 4 0 2 12 7 5 12 3 Blacktown City FC 6 4 0 2 10 10 0 12 4 Sydney Olympic FC 6 3 2 1 12 7 5 11 5 Sydney FC 6 3 1 2 10 7 3 10 6 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 6 3 1 2 10 8 2 10 7 Manly United FC 6 2 2 2 15 14 1 8 8 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 6 2 1 3 13 8 5 7 9 Parramatta FC 6 2 1 3 8 9 -1 7 10 Rockdale City Suns FC 6 1 1 4 4 15 -11 4 11 Wollongong Wolves FC 6 1 0 5 7 17 -10 3 12 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 6 1 0 5 4 21 -17 3 10 UNDER 20s NPLNSW.COM.AU MATCH ydney FC host Sydney United 58 in round S7’s match of the round at Lambert Park on Saturday afternoon, with both sides eager for a win to further consolidate their top six status. Sydney FC played here last week, drawing 2-2 with APIA Leichhardt, while Sydney United 58 arrive at Lambert Park after a 3-1 home win over Wollongong Wolves, a result which moved them up to second in the table. Should they win this weekend, the hosts would leapfrog Sydney United 58 into second – depending on results elsewhere – while the visitors cannot catch Sutherland in first this week; Sharks sitting four points clear of Sydney United 58 in second. 11 UNDER 18s #PS4NPLNSW 1 Tom FAY 1 Aiden KENNY 2 Evan TSAKOS 2 Adam GASPAROVIC 3 Aaron GURD 3 Christian ZEBEC 4 Phil CANCAR 4 Jack GATALLARI 5 Mitch MATTISON 5 Cole MUTTON 6 Jake HOLLMAN 6 Todd BENNISON 7 Marco TILIO 7 Junghee CHO 8 Leo ABDO 8 Ryan FAHEY 9 Jacob VASILIOU 9 Hamish LAMBERTON 10 Rocco CHISARI 10 Nikolas LAI 11 Alex MASCIOVECCHIO 11 Joshua DE ROSSI 12 Jay HIRSCHOWITZ 12 Aiden TOBIN 13 Paolo LAXAMANA 13 Ali KARIMI 14 Benjamin KOOP 14 Athony PEDAVOLI 15 Luke OKUDA 15 Rijad MAHINOVIC 16 Bailey KUBECKA 16 Joshua JOHNSON Head Coach: Jimmy Van Weeren Coach: Tony Sekulic Assistant Coach: Jason Rea Manager: Richard Paddle UNDER 18s - PLAYSTATION 4 NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Sydney FC 6 5 0 1 17 6 11 15 2 Rockdale City Suns FC 6 3 2 1 15 6 9 11 3 Manly United FC 6 3 2 1 13 10 3 11 4 Parramatta FC 6 2 4 0 5 2 3 10 5 Wollongong Wolves FC 6 2 3 1 8 5 3 9 6 Blacktown City FC 6 2 1 3 6 5 1 7 7 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 6 2 1 3 11 11 0 7 8 Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 6 1 4 1 8 11 -3 7 9 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 6 1 3 2 12 15 -3 6 10 Sydney United 58 FC 6 1 2 3 9 14 -5 5 11 Sutherland Sharks FC 6 1 1 4 7 11 -4 4 12 Sydney Olympic FC 6 0 3 3 4 19 -15 3 12 FEATURE STORY NPLNSW.COM.AU SPOTLIGHT ON: Get to know more about Sky Blues midfielder Sam McIllhatton ahead of tonight’s clash.
