Pseudomonas syringae pv. savastanoi, a causal agent of plant symbiotic bacteria, including some Rhizobium and olive and oleander knot, produces the auxin indole-3 Bradyrhizobium species, which produce and release -acetic acid (IAA) from L-tryptophan via indole-3 IAA14,15).
