But we should participate in told that what we call the larger process is nothing but our own past, our life. The Gita tells us that actions are constantly going on, around us and memories and desires. That is equivalent to what we call the larger reality. through us. And that is why we cannot escape anything. We cannot say It is not something mysterious or beyond understanding. We create our that we want to stop doing any actions at all and rather withdraw. And so are our sensations and feelings. We cannot avoid to act, which will always lead to certain consequences which we cannot escape either. So in a way our life is nothing but a series of actions of some nature or another. An Illustration The way how to carry on these actions is explained in the Gita. The Gita To give an illustration: There is an honest, hard-working individual, helps us to functions in life as ideally as we can and simultaneously gain attentive to his wife and children. This illustration is meant to show how an individual’s desires another. Yet we cannot help it. We have to function, we have to exist. We and actions are responsible for the course his life takes. Metaphysically, the Yogic Position is that the external world and all the various activities going on in it are really a product of our own inner personality. We are projecting ourselves and thus creating the world. What is occurring outside is in a way already inside us. Out of ignorance we have created certain desires. We select certain things even though we do not know them clearly. We desire these things, and our desires have led to certain actions: these actions in turn have created certain results. DR.MR CHAITANYA GULVADY, It was in late 2015, when the Health Management Department of Siemens Ltd, felt the HEATH MANAGEMENT HEAD need for an Interventional health program for employees and the Fit4Life program was conceived & launched at 2-3 locations. The Yoga Institute was kind enough to tie AT SIEMENS INDIA AND up with us & Yoga sessions started for the Fit4Life executives. Trained teachers from BANGLADESH TYI conducted a session on asanas and pranayamas, and it was indeed peaceful. The teachers in addition to teaching the Yogasanas also added a healthy bit of advice on nutrition to our executives. This relaxed the minds of the participants, thus reducing the stress levels. The seeds of healthy living were sown & at the end of three months, the results were astonishing. A very significant number of executives had improved flexibilities, adopted a healthy lifestyle & were free from the lifestyle diseases.

Life forever unfolds itself in layers of reality. One may feel that what one thinks and feels is true, and so may another. Philosophy is a multi dimensional realm of wisdom. My Yoga journey started with One month TTC in April 2010. One year later I did my One year TTC. My students recognized me as an intuitive Yoga teacher with in-depth knowledge who cared equally for their well-being. After completing the TTC was the real challenge to be a true Yoga practitioner. Overcoming laziness and strengthening “ willpower, I feel that with Guru's grace, I have developed strong determination to work hard on the path of Yoga and conquer inner demons and tendencies to become a shining example of true Yoga sadhaka.

I pledge to be firm in my conviction and follow the path shown by the Gurus, Dr. Jayadeva and Smt. Hansaji.

MAYUKA ARORA, SADHAKA

I have been practising yoga at the Matunga branch of The Yoga Institute since April 2017. I came in with a few health issues and I discussed them with my teacher right at the beginning...I got a good insight from her regarding my issues and how to tackle them with patience and consistency. Now my health issues are better and I feel more energetic and flexible.

It’s not just the asanas but also the teacher’s explanation of the theory of Yoga. I was taught that acceptance is the key to all situations in life and I have begun to follow that in every step of my way. Even the various workshops conducted are very informative and the instructors are excellent. I feel that everyday I’m learning something new about Yoga and myself. It’s an enlightening path to mindfulness and self-discovery.

Thank you, and I hope The Yoga Institute keeps going strong and giving us this wonderful education.

Nowhere on earth, there are as many festivals as in India. We all joyfully and noisily participate in them. But how does a Yogi, specially one like Shri Yogendraji participate in them? Well, he followed his daily routines, come rain or shine. He was intensely dedicated to his work, and did not take any vacations or holidays. All days were same for him.

He would eat the same austere meal prepared by Mother Sitadevi. He did not go out for any celebrations. It was as if he was beyond all the festivities.

However, he enjoyed vicariously all the festivities and celebrations. There is a saying that a RajaYogi does through the mind, what others do with the legs and hands, in other words physically. Moreover, he would say, there is no need of fasting if one does not do feasting; there is no need of a pilgrimage if there is no sinning. He was absorbed in his soul, and detached from all sound and fury of festivities.

“The real aim of religion is spirituality.”
