¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español! Spanish II is a continuation of Spanish I. Review of material learned in the previous year will take place all year long along with learning of new curriculum. This course also seeks to prepare the student for Spanish III. However, the Pre-AP route is highly recommended if there is not a doubt in the student's mind about continuing on to Spanish III because of the Pre-AP nature of both courses.

Homework: Your student is assigned a new vocabulary list every 2-3 weeks and several grammar concepts are intertwined. It is completely necessary that your child practice the meaning of each vocabulary word at night. SIMPLY LOOKING AT THE WORDS IS NOT STUDYING. He or she can write the words several times, make flashcards of the hardest ones to him/her, say them out loud, use them in a sentence in English, etc. They will get assigned homework, but every child is different, and therefore, responsible to know what works best for them. I suggest a quiet place with no distractions, especially because this is a foreign language. Just because they can do math with music/TV, does not mean that Spanish will be the same. I also suggest starting homework as soon as they get home or when they feel the most awake. If you have any more questions please do not doubt in contacting me.

It is very important to note that learning a language is more than beneficial, but you do get out of it what you put into it. Supplies iPads will be used EVERYDAY and need to be FULLY CHARGED each night!
