Journey to New England, the birthplace of our country!

In Massachusetts feel history come alive in , Lexington, and Concord where the American Revolution began. Hear how Colonial patriots risked their lives to ensure independence that later would guarantee rights granted in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights. Stroll the decks of the USS Constitution and see her in all her glory, walk on the “Freedom Trail,” or visit the numerous historical sights in these dynamic cities.

In Vermont see the splendors of the colorful Berkshires and Green Mountains with visits to the Yankee Candle Factory, Norman Rockwell Museum, Hildene home of Abraham Lincoln’s son, and stay in a 1827 Inn! We will visit the beautiful Morgan Horse Farm, the Shelburne Museum an outdoor museum on 45 acres with 39 exhibition buildings, including the historic steamship Ticonderoga! Plus a dinner cruise on beautiful Lake Champlain, pictures at the Capital, and lots of cheese tasting at Cabot Creamery, Tillamook’s rival on the east coast!

In New Hampshire we see the snowcapped White Mountains. We’ll even take the Cog Railway up to the top of Mount Washington at 6,288’ up! And we’ll stay at the beautiful Eagle Mountain House and Golf Club. Plus, we must have picture stops at some of NE covered bridges!

In Maine we will visit Portland where we will tour the city and its infamous Portland Head Lighthouse. We will make our way up the beautiful coastline to Mount Desert Island with the world-renowned seashore community of Bar Harbor with its “Down East” ambiance. We will sail aboard the 151’ 4-Masted Schooner Margaret Todd, explore Acadia National Park, with it rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodland and pristine lakes. The park has 47,000 acres and is home to Mt. Cadillac! We continue our journey through cities like Bangor, Augusta, and Kennebunkport where we stay at the famous Colony Hotel where you can take an ocean- side stroll or relax in old-world charm. We will also drive by Walker’s Point, the summer home of President George Bush and family.
