Meet Our Founders

PHOTO BY NICOLE LOVE The Atlanta Food & Festival is the creation of dynamic Atlanta entrepreneurial duo of Elizabeth Feichter and Dominique Love.

The pair first joined forces more than 10 years ago to run Corporate Community Outsourcing, a philanthropic consulting firm created by Love after she left her post managing The Coca-Cola Company’s corporate giving.

Love’s corporate philanthropy experience coupled with Feichter’s extensive nonprofit experience, including her role as the Director of Development for Hands on Atlanta, positioned their agency as a go-to resource for corporations and nonprofit organizations wanting to have a more strategic impact on the community. Their clientele has included notable corporations such as FOOD & WINE, The Coca-Cola Company, Delta Air Lines, The Home Depot, NASCAR, sanofi-aventis, Turner Broadcasting System and more.

Their work developing a national cause-marketing campaign for FOOD & WINE magazine led the duo to the magazine’s famed FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen. So impressed by the Classic’s programming and how the weekend drew smart, food-loving people, Feichter and Love decided to recreate the concept in Atlanta. Now celebrating their sixth year as a Festival, Love and Feichter continue to showcase and celebrate their beloved Southern region and its rich food and beverage traditions.

Our Company A globally-recognized events company focused on the alcoholic beverage sector, The IWSC Group offers a broad portfolio of events around the world that help bring brands and people together in the best environments to create lasting relationships.

The IWSC Group events range from those focused exclusively around alcoholic beverages such as the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) and the Spirits of Mexico, a celebration of all things agave, to those where alcoholic beverages remain a fundamental part of the offering in addition to food, music or art.

In March 2015, The IWSC Group increased its presence in the Americas with the launch of The IWSC Group North America and the addition of the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival (AF&WF) to its existing American portfolio headed by entrepreneurs and AF&WF founders, Dominique Love and Elizabeth Feichter.

Eat. Drink. Indulge in all that is Southern. Follow award-winning chefs, beverage innovators and industry experts on a culinary journey through the South.

LEARNING EXPERIENCES Deemed “PhD-level programming for the food and drink lover” by media and industry leaders, the Festival’s Learning Experiences are created by our esteemed Advisory Council to educate and entertain guests. Learning experiences range in size from 40 – 150 people and include cooking and cocktail demonstrations, technique laboratories, pairing sessions, tasting seminars and panel discussions.

TASTING EXPERIENCES NEW LOCATION! Designed to take guests on an epicurean journey through the South, the Festival’s Tasting Tents are not the typical festival tasting experience. The all-you-can-indulge layout allows guests the opportunity to eat, drink and explore the region’s top food and drink products and chef creations while also celebrating international influences that have shaped our region. The 2016 Tasting Tents will move to the Greensward area of Piedmont Park, a newer and secluded area in the park that includes flat green space and a gorgeous fountain.

DINNERS & EVENTS The Festival experience continues into the evening with curated chef dinners and signature parties at private homes, restaurants and unique venues around the city.

THE CONNOISSEUR EXPERIENCE Designed for the serious food and beverage lover, the Connoisseur program includes access to an exclusive Connoisseur Lounge created each year by an award-winning Atlanta designer, as well as Connoisseur-only tent in the Tasting Tents. Both spaces are designed for Connoisseurs to socialize, eat, drink and participate in private food and beverage classes.

CONNOISSEUR DINNER SERIES Launched in 2015, the Connoisseur Dinner Series offered exclusive dining experiences for the Festival’s Connoisseur pass holders. The series, which is curated by award-winning authors Matt Lee and Ted Lee, provide immersive and intimate food and drink experiences for guests. In 2016, the series will continue to be a part of the Connoisseur pass but individual dinners may also be purchased. All events include a minimum of three award-winning chefs, a Master Sommelier and a cocktail expert. Dinners run in size from 40 – 60 people.

2016 Tasting Experiences Continuing the tradition of the curated tasting experiences from years past, the 2016 Tasting Tents will include tasting trails and tents, Sommelier lounges, bars hosted by award-winning bartenders, a tailgating area, a farmer’s market and an interactive food and beverage pairing area. Tasting themes include Southern Staples, Road Trips, Southern Around the World, and much more. The all-you-can-indulge layout allows guests the opportunity to eat, drink and explore the region’s top food and drink products and chef creations while also celebrating international influences that have shaped our region. 2016 TASTING TENT LOCATION – GREENSWARD PROMENADE in PIEDMONT PARK
