Number of Matches/Referees Senior Football Championship: Intermediate Football Championship: 1. Sixteen clubs shall play in the Senior Championship. 1. Twelve clubs shall play in the Intermediate Championship. 2. All Clubs shall play two games at home and two games away in the sixteen club League stage of the championship. 2. All Clubs shall play two games at home and two games away in the Twelve club League stage of the championship. 3. For Round 1, eight teams shall be drawn in order to play at home and eight teams in order shall be drawn to play away to m ake up 3 Each club shall be allocated fixtures against a grid numbered 1to12 eight ties. All County Leagues While most of the focus understandably has been on Club Championship structures, in order to provide a reasonable number of games during the remainder of 2020 for the club players then some type of League structures will be necessary to cater for the players including during the period after the club championships have concluded and inter county training and games have commenced.As promotion/relegation in Leagues have already been ruled out in 2020 by the CCC for very valid reasons then some new ideas around league structures are necessary to hopefully retain as much of the traditional and enviable competitive attractiveness of Donegal Gaa's League structures.We are also required to reduce the travel requiriments on our clubs where possible. In line with these aims,the following has been decided; 1. That for 2020 The league shall be organised as two divisions i.e. Division 1 & Division 2 Division 1 shall consist of the teams who were to play in the 2020 divisions 1 & 2. Division 2 shall consist of the teams who were to play in the 2020 divisions 3 &4. Division 1 In Division 1 there shall be three sections, two of seven clubs and one of six clubs based on geographical Division 1 proximity as shown. Section A Section B Section C Each team shall play each other once in their respective sections.The winners of each section shall be allocated a home game in the quarter finals. The remaining home venue shall be drawn out from the three Gweedore Naomh Columba Mc Cumhaills sectional runners up, all of whom shall also play in the quarter final ties. The remaining semi final place shall be taken from the Section A Section B Section C section 2nd placed teams which will be decided by lot.The winners progressing to play in the All County Naomh Ultan Burt Red Hughs League Division 2 Final.
