Dupuis was chosen an Atlantic University Sport conference first- team all-star earlier this month. Dupuis, a first-year player from Saint-Mathias, Que., led the Aigles Bleues and tied for fourth in the conference with eight goals in 11 regular-season games. She was honoured at the U Sports women’s soccer championship tournament on Wednesday night in . CROSS COUNTRY Three Université de Moncton athletes will race at the U Sports cross country championships on Sunday in Victoria, B.C. Atlantic University Sport conference women’s bronze medallist Carol-Ann MacDonald of Irishtown and Kamylle Frenette of Dieppe are entered in the women’s eight-kilometre run and Bryan Thomas of Shippagan in the men’s 10-kilometre event. “Our three runners are ready to face the top Canadian university runners,” said Moncton coach Jean-Marc Doiron. “For Kamylle and Bryan, it will be special as it will be their last university career race as Aigles Bleues and Aigles Bleus. Both are anxious and motivated, wanting to conclude their career on a high. “As for Carol-Ann, who is in her third season, she will race the best in the country, and I want to push her limits. She needs to climb another notch in her career.” “I am very excited to be going to Victoria,” said MacDonald. “I know the race will be difficult, and it could be muddy with all the rain they received this week. I am not nervous yet, but I know it will come. I am very happy with my season, and I look forward to this last race. The training is done, I want to rest, be positive and live the experience. I want to finish the race knowing I left all my energy on the path.” WOMEN’S HOCKEY The host the St. Francis Xavier X- Women in an AUS women’s hockey conference game on Friday. The puck drops at 7 p.m. at the Tantramar Veterans Memorial Civic Centre in Sackville. The No. 5 nationally-ranked X-Women have a 6-1-1 record. The Mounties are 1-6-1. Mount Allison is home to the Saint Mary’s Huskies (7-0-1) on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in Sackville. The Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues, tied for third place at 4-3-1, play a pair of weekend games. They visit the University of Panthers (2-4-2) on Saturday in and host the St. Thomas Tommies (4-3-1) on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the J.-Louis-Lévesque Arena.
