Rock- style family values

LISA BETTINGER NOW Editor While discussing reality TV a few weeks back, I remember singing the praises of MTV's "The Osbournes." As I sal back and watched some reruns this week- end, I began to think. "What other family would I like to see on TV?" MTV doesn't have to go with these ideas, but VIII is in need of a show, so maybe one of these will work for them. These might also be some good ideas in case those negotiations between MTV and Ozzys clan go down the toilet. "The Nugents" would definite- ly not make for dull television. Anyone who saw Ted Nugent on "Behind The Music" knows that he lives up to the title "Motor City Madman." The audience could watch Ted working on the radio. They could watch him hunt. The only drawback would be the uproar raised by various environ- mental and animal rights groups. If you want a family more creepy than Ozzy, perhaps "The lacksons" would be more your speed. Michael is in dire need of good publicity, and what could be better than having his own reality TV show? He could show how he cares for his multitude of animals. Then again, do we really want to see what goes on behind the doors at his Neverland Valley Ranch? Michael is also very cam- era shy, so who knows how things would play out. OK, "The Gallaghers" would be for my own enjoyment. But Liam and Noel could probably whip up a good fight or two. Other than music, they are pretty much known for either their drinking or their short-fused tempers.
