Snider has 3/30 vs Bemidji State (DH) W, 4-1/W, 9-6 consistently been the top arm in UIU’s rotation leading the Peacocks in innings (48.1), Wins (3) and strikeouts (49) while also setting starter lows in ERA (3.35), opposing batting average (.230), and earned runs allowed 4/2 at Minnesota Duluth (DH) W, 4-3/ W, 2-1 (18). The senior’s efforts earned him an NSIC Pitcher of the Week Honorable Mention.

4/3 at Minnesota Duluth (DH) L, 10-2/W, 14-3 JAKE WON’T BREAK… Jake Hilmer continues to keep his pedal to the metal providing a big boost to the Pea- cock offense. Like Snider, Hilmer was named an NSIC Player of the Week Honorable Mention after going 10-22 (.454) over the six games along with eight RBI and four runs scored. The Walker, Iowa native went 7-13 4/7 at UMary (DH) L, 4-0/W, 4-3 (.538) with a home run and a double in UIU’s weekend series with Sioux Falls which included a four-hit, four- RBI game in Saturday’s second act. Hilmer is now batting an NSIC-ninth best .381 following the big weekend 4/10 at Northern State (DH) W, 16-9/W, 4-3 (12) thanks to 43 hits, the third highest total in the conference. The second-year freshman also leads the Peacock bats in slugging percentage at .487, runs with 25, and total bases with 55. 4/11 at Northern State L, 9-4 LEAGUE LEADERS… Samuel Grushkin walloped three doubles last week which put him in a tie for second-place 4/17 vs. Minnesota State (DH) L, 2-1 (10)/L, 8-0 in the conference with 10. Kyle Routhieaux leads the conference in hit-by-the-pitches with 10 while Hilmer’s seven follow in sixth place. Hilmer and leadoff hitter Hull are neck-and-neck in the at-bats column with 113 (fifth place) and 110 (seventh place), respectively. Noah Gyldenvand and Hilmer have five and four sacrifice bunts 4/18 vs. Minnesota State (DH) L, 5-1/L, 12-6 apiece which is good enough for first and third place in the league. 4/21 at Concordia-St. Paul (DH) W, 9-3/ L, 9-11 On the other side of the ball, Snider is second in the conference in innings pitched and ranks ninth in punch outs, fourth when batters watch the third strike. Chris Webber’s four saves are in a four-way tie for the fourth-best total 4/24 at Sioux Falls (DH) L, 4-3/L, 13-9 in the Northern Sun while Jarrett Ramer’s lone sacrifice fly allowed is atop the leaderboard. Defensively, Hilmer and Routhieaux’s perfect fielding percentages are the league best while Gyldenvand and Hilmer’s 76 and 55 4/25 at Sioux Falls (DH) L, 3-0/L, 2-1 assists rank the Peacock middle infielders in second and tenth place. Gyldenvand has turned 11 double plays at shortstop, sixth most in the NSIC. Peacock backstop, Adrian Trujillo mowed down four runners in his last six 4/28 at Winona State (DH) 1:30/3:30 p.m. games. Trujillo’s nine on the season is the conference’s fifth best total. WHAT’S UP WITH THE WARRIORS… Winona State holds the sixth best mark in the NSIC at 18-12 overall, 15- 5/5 at Wayne State (DH) 1:30/3:30 p.m. 10 in conference play. WSU most recently had an eight-game win streak snapped in a 2-1 series loss to Augus- tana University. The heart of Winona’s order is Sam Kohnle, Nick Herbst, Derek Baumgartner, Tanner Williams, 5/7 vs Augustana (DH) 1:30/3:30 p.m. and Austin Savary. The bunch is all batting .300+ with 16+ runs and 24+ hits to their names. Savary doubles as the Warriors’ ace.
