Rural crime We are well and truly in the middle of hare coursing season now and over the last four - five weeks there has been a big increase in the number of incidents we are dealing with. We now have 29 offenders on bail and our Rural Crime Team is investigating multiple offences.

Crime prevention advice - warning Please do not leave cars unattended with the engine running on frosty mornings. Car windows may need to be de-frosted but people are being warned never to leave their car running and unoccupied. Some insurance companies are now also refusing to settle some claims if an unsecured vehicle is stolen.

Local Policing Priorities The following priorities have been identified by the community and the police: 1. Anti-social behaviour (ASB). 2. Traffic issues. 3. Theft from Vehicles. 4. Burglary Dwelling. 5. Burglary Non-Dwelling.

These are being dealt with by your Neighbourhood Policing Team in partnership with residents and other agencies. ASB Reducing ASB still remains a key priority for the Wheatley/Chalgrove neighbourhood team and eight incidents were reported in total for the month of November. Breakdown by village as follows; • had one incident. • Wheatley had two incidents. • Stadhampton had two incidents. • had two incidents. • had one incident.

ASB can affect people in many ways, from nuisance behaviour to feeling in danger and reports are dealt with in the strictest confidence. Should residents experience any ASB or be concerned about the behaviour or actions of anyone then they should contact on our non-emergency number 101. Your NHPT will continue to patrol areas that have previously had issues to help reduce the problems associated with ASB.

Traffic issues Wheatley - PC Laura Potter, along with colleagues from Roads Policing, completed a traffic operation on the London Road in Wheatley last week. Seven tickets were issued for mobile phone and seat belt offences, no speeding offences were logged.
