Significant Weather Features:  The Well Marked Low Pressure Area lies over Northwest Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood. It is very likely to move nearly westwards across Rajasthan during next 2 days.  The monsoon trough is active and south of its normal position. It is likely to remain active during next 2-3 days.  Under the influence of above systems: (i) Isolated extremely heavy falls are very likely over Rajasthan and Gujarat state during 22nd-24th August and over West Madhya Pradesh today, 22nd August, 2020. (ii) Widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over West Madhya Pradesh and Konkan & Goa during next 24 hours and over ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat state and Rajasthan during next 2-3 days.

(i) Landslide in Kerala Update: Landslide occurred in Tata tea Company Pettimudi Munnar Kerala. 65 persons have been reported dead, 12 persons got injured and 05 persons are still missing. Search and Rescue operation continue by NDRF, Fire, Forest, Police, Emergency Response Team and Local Administration.

(ii) Landslide at Karnataka Update: Landslides incidents occurred on 06.08.2020 in Karnataka- Bhramagiri hills, Bhagamandala, Madikeri Taluk. Search and rescue operation continues in Bramgiri Hills, Tala Cauvery, to trace out remaining 02 missing persons.
