Awards Presentation: The Liberty League plaque will be presented after the conclusion of the championship game.

Tournament Information:

Dugouts The higher seeded team will be the home team and will have the choice of dugout throughout the tournament.

Uniforms: The higher seeded team will be the home team, shall wear light colored jerseys (white) in all rounds of the championships unless a change is mutually agreed on by participating schools. Teams must have contrasting colored jerseys available for all games.

Warm Up: Each team will be allotted an exclusive 8 minutes of warm up time on the competition field. Outside of the exclusive warm-up time teams are permitted to take ground balls in fould territory. The higher seeded team will warm up first. The Upper Practice Field is available as per the schedule (see Batting/Practice Field Timing Sheet).

Rochester will supply the music for warm-ups and walk-up music.

This is consistent with the NCAA’s protocol in softball.

Batting cage: Located outside game field – directly behind left field • Each team will be allowed 30 minutes in the batting cage. • Equipment supplied in the cage: only screens • Batting cage may not be used by the teams involved in the game being played. • The usage schedule is as follows:

Bullpens: Pitchers may warm up in the designated pitching area located outside of the game field/ behind the outfield fence (left field and right field areas) prior to the games [Home team 3B bullpen, Visiting Team 1B bullpen]. During games, pitchers may warm up outside the dugouts or in the respective bullpen area. Priority will be given to the pitcher whose team is currently playing (i.e. a reliever needs to warm up).

Officials: Host institution is responsible for securing/confirming three umpires for all tournament games.

Locker Rooms: Teams will have access to a general locker room in the Goergen Athletic Center which is located 7 minutes from the game field on Library Road across from Fauver Stadium.

Sports Medicine Information: An Athletic Trainer will be on site for the tournament. The training room is located in Fauver Stadium. Please provide your own taping supplies. Water and ice will be on each bench. If you have any special needs, please call Eric Rozen Head Athletic Trainer, at 585-275-9540.

Athletics Communications: Provided from the game will be updates to www.uofrathletics.com www.libertyleagueathletics.com, final stat crew file, and the game story distributed to the Rochester, RPI, RIT, Skidmore, and Liberty League media outlets. Please contact our Sports Information Director, Dennis O’Donnell with any questions or requests. Live stats will be available for all games.

Parking: Parking for spectators/fans and friends arriving on the River Campus: There is a charge for general parking during the weekday. Please inform your spectators that they should stop at the INFORMATION BOOTH at the front entrance on Wilson Boulevard as they enter the RIVER CAMPUS to purchase a day pass for parking on Thursday and Friday. There is no charge for parking during the weekend.

Bus Parking: Parking for the buses is available in Park Lot on Intercampus Drive.

Laundry Service: Laundry service will be available for uniforms by our equipment manager, Dan Provenzano-585-275-3698 (office)/(585)727-6556 (cell) and if needed. Equipment Room is located inside the lower level of Fauver Stadium. Laundry bags will be made available immediately following your game if you wish to utilize the laundry service. Uniforms must be in team laundry bags in order for our staff to collect. In addition, please make sure your team has a change of clothes with them so we can collect laundry immediately following your game. Championship Director will coordinate how laundry is delivered to teams post game.

Lightning Procedure: The “flash-to-bang” interval (or hearing thunder) will be applied in cases of severe weather. If the “flash-to-bang” interval is decreasing rapidly, and the storm is approaching the location, or if the “flash-to-bang” count approaches thirty (30) seconds, the game will halt. All persons must immediately leave the site and seek safe shelter. Teams should quickly proceed to their bus/vans. Thirty minutes must pass after the last sound of thunder or flash of lightning before resuming the game.

Teams are expected to remain on the premises, in their bus or vans, unless they are instructed by the Championship staff to leave. The Championship Director will stay in close contact with the coaches of the participating teams during the delay. They will also be in contact with the coaches of upcoming games if the start times will be impacted.

Inclement Weather Procedures: Weather. If the entire tournament is rained out, the champion will be determined by regular‐season league results. All ties will be broken by using the established Liberty League tiebreaker procedure. (1/14) 1. If games Thursday, Friday or Saturday cannot be completed, the tournament will be extended to Sunday. 2. If Thursday and Friday games cannot be played then four games shall be played on Saturday and 3 games on Sunday. 3. If Thursday, Friday and Saturday games cannot be played then the tournament shall be a four‐team single elimination tournament played on Sunday. 4. If games 6 and 7 cannot be played by Sunday then the first team to a 2‐0 record in the tournament shall be the league champion and receive the automatic qualifier. If no team has reached a 2‐0 record then the number one seed shall receive the automatic qualifier. 5. If games 1 and 2 are completed either Thursday or Friday and games 3, 4 and 5 cannot be played by Saturday, the winners of game 1 and game 2 shall play a best of three series on Sunday to determine the league champion and automatic qualifier.

Championship Rules: Play will be governed by NCAA rules. The halted game rule will be in effect. Two game balls will be provided to each team prior to each game. Multiple foul ball chasers will be assigned for each game of the tournament.
