COUNCIL MEETING The next Ordinary Council meeting will be held, Wednesday, 12 August, at Council’s Chambers, commencing at 5.30 pm. Following the lifting of the COVID-19 Restrictions, Council has resumed meeting in the Chambers with a maximum of four (4) members of the public in attendance. The meetings will no longer be live streamed, however an audio recording will uploaded the following day.

APPLICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE/DONATIONS FOR THE 2020/2021 FINANCIAL YEAR ARE NOW OPEN Shire Council is committed to creating a vibrant and diverse community, based on the development of healthy communities and a sustainable environment.

Donations and sponsorships are one of the methods that can be utilised by Council to recognise and encourage individuals and "not-for-profit" or community organisations also committed to achieving these objectives. Council will consider requests for donations, sponsorship and the waiver of Council fees and charges.

Applications must be on Council's Application Form which can be found on Council's website. Forms can also be obtained from Council's Customer Service Building, 118 Dandaloo Street, Narromine or by phoning 02 6889 9999. For eligibility criteria and to see how the application process works you will also need to download the "Donations, Sponsorships & Waiver of Fees & Charges Policy".

Applications must be completed in full and include the relevant attachments as requested. The closing date for all requests is Friday 28th August 2020 and these will be considered and assessed at Council's September meeting.

PLANS OF MANAGEMENT FOR THE CROWN RESERVES Council is currently drafting new Plans of Management for the Crown Reserves under Council management in the Shire. If you or your community/sporting group uses a Crown Reserve regularly and you have plans to expand/extend or build something new on the reserve, we want to know! Crown Reserves include the Narromine and Trangie Showgrounds, Rotary Park, Burns Oval and Dundas Oval. Please email [email protected] with your feedback/suggestions.

PUBLIC EXHIBITION – COMMUNITY FEEDBACK ON PROPOSED SALE OF LOT 70 DP 1089611 (TRANGIE AIRSTRIP). Narromine Shire Council is seeking community feedback on its proposal to sell Lot 70 DP 1089611 (Trangie Airstrip). Council’s Property Strategy determines that Council

properties that do not meet community, strategic or commercial expectations should be considered for disposal to allow reinvestment. Council is seeking community feedback regarding the proposed sale of the facility as currently the facility does not serve as a community facility. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing by Wednesday 12 August 2020.

PUBLIC EXHIBITION – DISABLED PARKING DANDALOO STREET, TRANGIE Narromine Shire Council is seeking community feedback on the proposed locations of disabled parking in Dandaloo Street, Trangie. A survey has been developed for the community to select their two (2) preferred options for the location of two (2) disabled parking spaces in Dandaloo Street, Trangie. The community is asked to rank the four proposed locations in priority from 1 (most preferred) to 4 (least preferred). The proposed locations, the survey and more information can be found on the website www.narromine.nsw.gov.au/council/public-exhibition

PUBLIC EXHIBITION – ROAD NAMES AT NARROMINE AVIATION BUSINESS PARK Council resolved at its monthly meeting held on 8 July 2020 to approve the following street names for the new Narromine Aviation Business Park development at Narromine Aerodrome, , Narromine.

The three preferred names for roads 1, 2 and 3 respectively are; Powell, Hayden and Pay. If any of these names should not be suitable, or other names are required at a later time at the Aerodrome Precinct the alternatives to be considered are Johnston, Coomber and Butler. Please note that following the public exhibition period, Council will select the road type (i.e. Street, Alley etc) to ensure it complies with the criteria under AS/NZS 4819:2011.

Council is seeking community feedback on the suitability or otherwise of these naming suggestions. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing by Thursday 13 August 2020
