May 09, 2013 22:25 BST Producer Big Swede to release New Instrumental Electronica/Soundtrack Album ‘Electronic Core District Pt.1’

Los Angeles, CA, May 10th, 2013 – Swedish born producer/artist Big Swede is releasing his new album, Electronic Core District Pt.1, on May 14th, 2013. The release includes 19 instrumental tracks in an Electronica/Soundtrack style.

A majority of the songs have been featured on several different TV-shows like NCIS, CSI: Miami, NCIS: Los Angeles, Alphas, MTV Video Music Awards Pre- show, and one of the tracks was used as an intro for the 07-08 Van Halen tour. “I have made a fair amount of Action/Soundtrack music in the last 7 years, and I wanted to release some of the featured songs. There will be an Electronic Core District Pt.2, and Electronic Core District Pt. 3 later this year,” explains Big Swede.

The idea for the name of the album came from downtown LA’s ‘Historical Core District,’ where Big Swede has been making music for the last 11 years. “I love the area, and it has fueled my creativity immensely. When I was thinking about a title for the album, I came up with the Electronic Core District idea, as the music is very computer and technology driven,” he adds.

“The cover art is an x-ray of my head with computer chips put into my brain. I broke my shoulder a few years back, and when I was at the emergency room I asked them to take an x-ray of my head as well. I knew I was going to use it as an album cover. It has a ‘part human, part machine’ kind of a feel, just like the music,” laughs Big Swede.
