Welcome to our Mandalay Bay Pool & Lagoon Area. Our property is a development of MGM Resorts International. We are located at the South End of the a short distance from the corner of Tropicana and Las Vegas Blvd., fast becoming the busiest corner in the World. The Mandalay Bay pool area has been named “one of the sexiest” hotel pools by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine and one of the top hotel pools in Forbes Magazine. The 11-acre tropical water environment comprised of sand-and-surf beach, lazy river, three swimming pools and a jogging track. The wave pool is comprised of more than 1.6 million gallons of water, measures 41,178 square feet and its waves can reach up to 5 feet high – enough to body surf! There are 8 Private bungalows and 20 Cabanas – are available to reserve for the day, they include a variety of snacks, drinks, television and pool attendant. A variety of beachside dining includes Border Grill, Surf Café and the Beach Bar & Grill – as well as personal cocktail service (flags). Beach area has more than 1,700 tons of sand brought in from Southern California. The lazy river is 3.25 feet deep and carries guests around at a comforting pace of 2 mph. Giant firepots shoot flames 15-20 feet high. The most unique concert venue in town can be found at Mandalay Beach. Since the summer concert series began with 3 acts in 1999, it has grown to more than 15 performers per summer. Mandalay Beach has become a multi-purpose facility by hosting such classic performers as: The Beach Boys, Chris Isaak, Toto, Heart, Meat Loaf and Hall & Oates.

Directions

From I-15, take the Russell Rd. Exit and proceed East to Las Vegas Blvd.

Turn Left on Las Vegas Blvd. this will take you to the East Side of Mandalay Bay.

The Convention Center is on your left; on your right at Four Seasons Drive is the access to the

oversized parking lot. You will be required to stage your trucks and buses in this lot until noon of

your show day or previously arranged time. One hour prior to your agreed load in time you will be

met by an Entertainment staff member and your buses and trucks will be escorted to their parking

positions and unloading area. They can remain in these locations until Load Out is complete.

Wave Pool Policies

I. Exits A. All exits must remain clearly marked and visible from all areas of the Wave Pool. B. At no time will any required exit be locked or obstructed in any way.

II. Decorative Materials A. All decorative materials must be treated with an effective fire retardant solution and maintained in a non-flammable condition at all times. B. The Entertainment Department must be provided with a copy of the flame retardant certificates explaining flame spread and method of application.

III. Certificate Of Insurance The Licensee must provide a certificate of insurance on each event.

IV. Pyrotechnic Requirements A. The Pyro Shooter must be licensed in the State of Nevada. B. A Pyro test must be conducted prior to the event. C. The Licensee is responsible to pay the Clark County Fire Department’s Fee to observe Pyro test.

V. Entertainment Department Equipment A. All Entertainment Department Equipment must be operated by a licensed technician. B. All requests for Display Vehicles must be approved in advance.

VI. Banners & Signage No banners or signage can be hung on the Structure, blow through banners can be made to hang in front of the main PA clusters and Subs. There is a permanent motorized baton on the upstage roof truss can be used for back drops or banners with a recommended size of 24’ wide x 10’ high with grommets on the top.

VII. Labor Policies A. It is mandatory that an Entertainment Department Supervisor, A/V Technician, Inventory Technician, Electrician and a House Lights Operator be on duty from the beginning of the Load-in throughout the Show and Load-out. This is meant to maximize service, protect the integrity and continuity of your event and provide for safety. B. Overtime occurs after 8 hours. C. Overtime occurs after 40 hours of work in the same week. D. Overtime occurs if turnaround time is less than 8 hours. E. Minimum call is 4 hours. F. There is a 15 minute break after 2 hours of work. G. After 5.5 hours of work, there is a choice of a 1 hour unpaid meal break or a ½ hour paid meal break with the meal provided by Licensee. H. We use non-union labor. Events Center staff listed above is still mandatory. The Technical Director must review and approve all labor requirements. Please call for current Rates.

VIII. Pyrotechnics A. Advance notice must be provided to Mandalay Bay Safety Manager, at 702-632-6777 for approval and scheduling. B. For a schedule of rates associated with Pyrotechnics, please see the attached “Anticipated Event Expenses.”

IX On Stage Personnel Policy Please note that no one other than the Band and it’s working Technicians are allowed on stage during the event. You may not invite audience members or personal friends or significant others including children up on stage due to the liability of injury and possible need to lower the roof in case of inclement weather.

Backstage

Located 100 feet upstage right of stage, see drawing.

Dressing Rooms

Air conditioned, Cabana with bathroom, no shower, located 100 feet upstage right of stage in Backstage area, see drawing.

Truck Parking

Prior to Load In please use the Truck Parking Area shown on the Parking Lot Overview drawing. Parking for one truck at a time, ground level, no dock.

During Load In through Load Out a truck will be located 500 feet stage right of stage, a paved path 400 feet to backstage area, see drawing.

Bus Parking

Located 200 feet upstage right of stage, 100 feet to backstage area, a maximum of 2 tour buses only, shore power is not available, see drawing.

Parking for only two (2) buses and one (1) trailer, no power, must park prior to truck parking.

PA The main PA consists of 24 D&B V Series line array 12 boxes per side with 18 D&B B2-Subs arrayed, 8 in the center, plus 4 each per side. The outfills consist of 6 D&B Y8 line array boxes per side. This system is powered by D&B D-12 amplifiers.

A custom fabricated platform at below the downstage edge of the stage supports the subwoofers. The out- fill speakers are flown from the lighting truss SL and SR. The main PA cabinets are flown from a dedicated truss extension; SL and SR (see drawing).

SNAKES

COPPER: Provided by MANDALAY BAY, routed through an underground PVC-conduit to the FOH mix-position are: INPUT-SNAKE: WHIRLWIND, 56-PAIR (W4/MASS) With 56pair WHIRLWIND 3-WAY Splitter box (all transformerised), as well as extensions, fanouts and five 12-pair satellite boxes with extensions and patchable fanouts. RETURN-SNAKE: WHIRLWIND 20-PAIR (W2) UTILITY/COM-SNAKE: WHIRLWIND 12-PAIR (W1)

FIBERS: 12 each Strands of Single Mode (ST Connectors) 02 each OPTICORE to Neutrik NO2-4FDW-A (multimode) Connectors.

DATA DIGITAL CABLES: 02 each 5 Pair Digital Grade COAX to BNC 12 each CAT6.

FOH-Power is routed through a parallel conduit run and consists of three phases of 20Amps, terminating to three pairs of 120V Edison Outlets (Doghouse).

FOH MIX POSITION The FOH-mix position is located off center, approximately 150 feet away from the stage, on ground level, inside a cabana on the beach. The available space is 10 feet across by 10 feet deep.

MONITOR POSITION The layout of the stage suggests the monitor position be located upstage right. Any other position severely compromises sightlines. Please consider this in your stage plot: If the act requires downstage ‘monolithic’ side fills, please prepare to bring wedge style or low profile substitutes, which can be provided by Mandalay Bay’s sound-company upon request. A maximum side fill height of 2 feet is strictly enforced.

COM / PL 2 Channel Clear Com from the stage to the FOH-tower (A=Audio Channel/B=Lighting Channel) is provided by Mandalay Bay and provides Headsets and Belt packs for the following locations: Up to four Spotlights and one L.D. at the FOH tower (B), one Monitor Console at upstage right (A), one Audio Mix Position at the FOH tower (A) and one stage manager (A+B) at upstage center.

AUDIO LABOR A FOH-systems technician, a monitor systems technician, and a stage-patch technician are provided by our sound-company. Additional labor is available, but must be arranged in advance.

Please note: Attached is a Lighting Plot that should be forwarded to your Lighting Designer or Board Operator for review. This is the system you will be using, he/she may choose gel colors and channel assignments per the drawing ONLY this is a permanent house hang we cannot add any lights to the Roof, you may bring or rent a ground package with prior approval.
