Information related to your department or class-specific requirements will be provided by your specific academic department.

Location Classes are held at LIU Brooklyn at 1 University Plaza, Brooklyn, NY 11201 in the Humanities Building. Enter through the Flatbush Extension gate (by the red arch). http://www.liu.edu/Brooklyn.aspx

Public Transportation The LIU Brooklyn campus is accessible by: • MTA bus lines , , , , , B54 and . • 4 or 5 train (Lexington Avenue Line) or • 2 or 3 train (Seventh Avenue Line) to Nevins Street Station 1

• B, Q, or R train to DeKalb Avenue Station • A, C, or G train (Eighth Avenue Line) to Hoyt Schermerhorn Street Station. • For weekend MTA service and changes please visit http://web.mta.info/weekender.html

ID Cards & Access You must have your BMCC ID card to gain access to the building, and other facilities on the Long Island University campus.

The First Day of Class Please stop by Room H 214 (classroom) to share your contact information with the coordinator.

Coordinator’s Office The coordinator’s office is in H 214, a classroom. As such, we are unable to store any supplies you may need for your class. Please come prepared with any supplies you will need for your class. Classrooms 213 and 215 have both chalkboards and whiteboards. Classroom 216 has whiteboards only.

Lateness and/or Absent Policy If you will be late, absent, plan to take your class off-campus or plan to cancel your in-person class for any reason, you must inform the coordinator and your department on or before the designated time of your class. The coordinator will inform the students and take attendance.

Scheduling a Proctor for your Class If you need to arrange to have a proctor for your class, you must contact your department chair as all arrangements must be made via the academic department.

Textbooks All textbooks must be ordered through the BMCC Barnes & Noble bookstore at 199 Chambers Street.

WiFi Access Faculty and students will have access to WiFi at LIU Brooklyn Campus by logging in to the LIU-Guest WiFi & creating a username using their BMCC email address.

Printing/Scanning Services Faculty and students do not have access to printing or scanning at the LIU Brooklyn campus.

Food There are many restaurant options near the LIU Brooklyn Campus. Some of these include Subway (on campus; opens around 12pm), McDonald’s, 7-Eleven, Starbucks, Junior’s Restaurant. Vending machines are available on the same floor as the classrooms.
