About the JA Company of the Year Competition The JA of Greater Washington Company of the Year Competition is the culminating regional event for all JA student companies in the Greater Washington region. Companies will have the opportunity to share their business performance and general experience in numerous formats and events, including their Company Report, Commercial, Interviews, and Pitch Presentations. The winning company will earn the distinguished title of JA of Greater Washington’s Company of the Year! JA. Know What Matters. Know What Matters. Judging Evaluation Criteria COMPANY REPORT (30%): The 8-page company report provides companies the opportunity to showcase the company’s overall business performance, challenges and achievements, and lessons learned from their JA Company Program experience. COMMERCIAL (10%): The one-minute commercial is an opportunity for student companies to showcase the benefits of the company’s product and their innovative approach to meeting their customers’ needs. INTERVIEW (30%): The interview is an opportunity for students to demonstrate an understanding of how and why the company performed as it did, the general lessons they gained from the experience, and how these lessons might be applied in other situations. PITCH (30%): The pitch is a company’s opportunity to engage with the judging panel, demonstrate your knowledge of the company, and discuss your overall experiences. Companies are allowed up to 4 minutes to present followed by up to 4 minutes of questions and answers. JA. Know What Matters. About the JA Company Program® In the JA Company Program, high school students will put their ideas into action by launching and operating a real business with other students under the guidance of business professionals. This intensive, 6-month-long program is the ultimate hands-on experience for any high-schooler looking to explore their diverse professional interests and develop the skills to succeed in a wide variety of careers. I am the founder of the international cinema services companies DTA Global and Outdoor Movies. I have worked in film and media for over 25 years and hold a bachelor’s degree in Radio, Television and Film from the University of Maryland. To date, I have 5 film technology patent’s in my name, and my company is widely considered to be the “America’s” leading Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) digital cinema services company. Film studios and producers are requiring DCI compliance as a condition for granting permission to screen movies and other content. To meet this demand, DTA Global offers one the most comprehensive arrays of digital cinema equipment and accessories in the industry, including: 4K RGB laser digital cinema projectors; Dolby Digital Cinema audio processors and servers; Chromameters and Radiospectrometers (for DCI color calibration); screens/masking; and audio. We are also authorized to distribute Barco and Christie Digital Cinema projectors. Our extensive client list includes: Library of Congress, Netflix, Warner Bros, Disney, Universal, HBO, Sony Pictures, Comcast, Airbus, Ford, American Express, National Geographic, the British Film Institute and many well-known national and international Film Festivals. Ms. Lee is the General Auditor at Freddie Mac. Freddie Mac supports the housing market and the nation’s renters, homebuyers and homeowners – across the entire country and in all economic cycles. Since being chartered by Congress in 1970, we have fulfilled our mission to keep mortgage money flowing, support the stability of the housing market, and promote housing affordability. And we continue to lead the housing industry forward, building a better housing finance system – for today and for tomorrow. Ms. Lee leads a diverse and talented team of over 120 risk and controls professionals within Internal Audit. As a leader, she encourages an energetic and agile environment of continuous growth, which includes curiosity, self-awareness, courage, independent research, active listening, and willingness to share and apply newfound knowledge. Ms. Lee believes that all team members are unique individuals and, regardless of tenure, have a voice to contribute to the team’s growth and success. Prior to Freddie Mac, most of Ms. Lee’s career was with KPMG focused on the banking and real estate industry. She has also held positions at Fannie Mae on their eCommerce development team, the Manufactured Housing Institute where she managed the association through the financial crisis and was the controller of a regional mortgage company. She is a Certified Public Accountant and obtained her Bachelor of Laura Lee Accounting from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Ms. Lee has two adult children and lives in Alexandria. For the past ten years, she has Senior Vice President & supported Christ House in Alexandria by preparing and serving meals to those in need. Ms. Lee has also served as a volunteer at Junior Achievement’s Finance Park in General Auditor Fairfax. Freddie Mac JA. Know What Matters. Quincy Seitz is a Senior Vice President and serves as the Retail Region Leader for SunTrust, now Truist within the District of Columbia, Suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia. In this role, Quincy oversees a retail branch network of 11 Area Leaders across 209 SunTrust and BB&T, now Truist branches with over $20 billion on deposits, 418,000 consumer households, 76,000 small business households, and 1200 teammates. Quincy joined SunTrust in November of 2013 where he served as Market Executive, Region Executive, and Area Manager throughout the southern and Mid-Atlantic states. Prior to SunTrust, Quincy worked at Wells Fargo/Wachovia for 10 years. He spent the first part of his banking career within the branches in various roles ranging from Teller, Senior Small Business Financial Specialist, and Branch Leader. The latter portion of his career with Wells Fargo was spent building, developing, and leading teams to top quartile performance as a District Manager and Affluent Sales Manager. Quincy is married and currently resides in Alexandria. He has been active in the community as a past board member of the Chamber of Commerce, member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. He earned his
