DOLPHINS WIN FOURTH CONSECUTIVE GAME

• The Dolphins have now won four games in a row for the first time since 2016. • Miami’s 5-3 record is their best start through the first eight games of a season since 2014. • The Dolphins have won five of their past six and 10 of their last 17 games. • Miami has now scored 21-plus points in seven consecutive games, the team’s longest such streak since doing it eight straight times in the final two games of 2001 combined with the first six games of 2002. o It’s the longest single-season streak since a seven-game streak in 1985. • The Dolphins’ four-game win streak is tied for the second-longest active mark (along with Kansas City and New Orleans) in the NFL behind only the eight-game streak of Pittsburgh. • Miami is now 10-3 all-time in games against the Cardinals. • The Dolphins are now +61 this season, the fifth-best point differential in the NFL (at the end of today’s afternoon games).

DOLPHINS SCORE 10 FOURTH- QUARTER POINTS IN COME- FROM- BEHIND WIN

• Facing a deficit for the first time in over a month (Oct. 4 vs. Seattle), the Dolphins put together two scoring drives in the fourth quarter to secure their fourth consecutive victory. • Miami was trailing by seven points and took possession at their own 7-yard line with 2:28 remaining in the third quarter. Ten plays, 93 yards and 6:09 later, QB found WR for an 11-yard to tie the game. o It was the first reception for Hollins as a member of the Dolphins. He was awarded off waivers to Miami on Dec. 4, 2019 from Philadelphia and this was his 12th game with the team. • Tagovailoa completed all five of his passes for 53 yards on the drive, and added two carries for 18 yards. • Miami’s next possession came in a tied game at its own 40-yard line with 5:15 left on the clock. Five plays and 28 yards later, K kicked what would be the game-winning from 50 yards out. o The field goal was Sanders’ 20th consecutive made field goal, breaking the team record of 19 set by K Olindo Mare in 1999. o Paired with his 56-yard field goal at the end of the first half, Sanders became the first player in Dolphins history to make two 50-plus yard field goals in the same game. o It was the fourth game-winning kick of Sanders’ career and first since Dec. 22, 2019 vs. Cincinnati. It was also the longest game-winning kick of his career. o Sanders is the most accurate field goal in Dolphins history, converting 86.6 percent (58-of-67) of his career opportunities. o His 17 field goals this season are tied for the fifth-most in the NFL and are more than any other kicker without a miss. K has the second-most makes without a miss at 11. • It was the first fourth quarter comeback and game-winning drive of Tagovailoa’s career.

MIAMI SCORES 24 POINTS IN FIRST HALF

• The Dolphins took a 24-17 halftime lead. It marked the fourth consecutive game the Dolphins have scored at least 21 points – the team led at the end of the first half in all four games. o It marks just the second time the Dolphins have scored 21+ points in the first half of four consecutive games. Miami also did this in the third through sixth games of the 1977 season. • WR led the team in receiving in the first half with four receptions for 60 yards (15.0 avg.), including a nine-yard touchdown reception from QB Tua Tagovailoa that gave the Dolphins a 21-14 lead. o The touchdown came on a third-and-7 play. • Tagovailoa completed 12-of-17 passes for 158 yards and one touchdown in the first two quarters of play. • K Jason Sanders closed out the half with a career-long 56-yard field goal, giving Miami a 24-17 lead. o His 56-yard field goal is the fifth-longest in Dolphins history

DOLPHINS OPEN GAME WITH DEFENSIVE TOUCHDOWN

• DE stripped Arizona QB Kyler Murray of the ball on Arizona’s first possession of the game, as DE Shaq Lawson scooped the ball up and raced 36 yards to the end zone. • The Dolphins now have a takeaway in 15 consecutive games, which is the second-longest active streak in the NFL behind Baltimore (21 games). • It was Miami’s second defensive touchdown in as many weeks after LB had a 78-yard return for a touchdown last week vs. the L.A. Rams. o The last time the Dolphins had back-to-back games with a defensive touchdown was Nov. 26, 2017 at New England and Dec. 3, 2017 vs. Denver. o The last time the Dolphins had consecutive games with fumble returns for was during the 2000 season – at Cincinnati (Oct. 1, 2000) and vs. Buffalo (Oct. 8, 2000). • For Ogbah, it was his seventh sack of the season and the fifth consecutive game he’s recorded a full sack.

o The last Dolphins player to record a full sack in five straight games was DE Cameron Wake, who had a sack in five consecutive contests from Oct. 23, 2016 to Nov. 27, 2016. o It was the 25th sack of Ogbah’s career. o Ogbah now has seven sacks this season, tied for third in the NFL at the end of today’s afternoon games.

TAGOVAILOA LEADS FIRST QUARTER TOUCHDOWN DRIVE

• On Miami’s second offensive possession, QB Tua Tagovailoa led a 10-play, 75-yard touchdown drive that took 5:56 off the clock. • Tagovailoa completed four-of-six passes on the drive for 52 yards, hitting chunk plays to WR Preston Williams for 11 yards, TE for 17 yards and TE for 19 yards. Tagovailoa also had a five-yard rush on the drive. • The scoring drive was capped off by a 2-yard touchdown run from RB Jordan Howard. o It’s the fourth rushing touchdown of the season for Howard in just his fifth game played. o Howard now has 34 career rushing touchdowns, which ranks sixth in the NFL since 2016, the year he entered the league.
