Scope

There is an urgent demand for toxicologists and risk assessors to implement in vitro testing results into the regulatory safety evaluation of chemicals. The course aim is to meet these demands by updating academics and professionals of the state-of-the-art of applied in vitro toxicology. Target Audience

Early-career scientists from industry, regulatory agencies and academia, including doctoral and postdoctoral candidates, interested in in vitro toxicology are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a background in toxicology, biology, chemistry, (veterinary) medicine, bio(medical), pharmaceutical sciences or equivalent. English proficiency is required. A maximum of 25 participants will be enrolled in the course on a first-come first-served basis.

Course Topics

The course consists of a series of lectures and two hands-on exercises on skin irritation and biokinetics. It is taught by experts in three areas of in vitro toxicology, namely regulatory in vitro toxicology, screening in vitro toxicology and investigative in vitro toxicology.
