Jamey Bradbury

On Friday the 29th of March, 27 Jean Puy student's went to Lyon to meet Jamey Bradbury, the author of "The Wild Inside". She is came to present her book which is published the 20th of march in France. The story takes place in wild Alaska and tell the story of Tracy Petrikoff, a strange teenage girl. In fact, Tracy got a gift from her mother, she can understand animal's minds and feelings when she drinks it blood. She feel as if she become the animal. One day, in wood, a stranger ttacks her. Unconscious and knocked out she stabs the stranger to save her life. But she don't really remember what happened. All along the novel, she try to knows who was the stranger. Jamey Bradbury has the idea to write this story after reading an horror vampire book with a man who drink blood to feed him. The idea of a character who drink blood attracts her. She wanted to know what this could be happen if this character was a girl. In this way, she started this novel in 2013. She founded her inspiration in different author like Stephen King, Shirley Jackson and John Irving. Now, she works on a new book, verry different of "The Wild Inside". Even if the plot will take place in Alaska, it don't take place in wild, but in city. This future book will be as great as the first? We don't know but for the time, you can already read "The Wild Inside" which is avaidable in the Jean Puy's school library.
