Pbr World Champion Bucking Bull TOTAL TC BULL TOTAL CANINE “Helping Animals and People is my Passion.” ~ Dr. R. Harry Anderson, Ph.D. WELCOME MISSION STATEMENT American Bucking Bull, Inc. (“ABBI”) is dedicated to unifying, developing and promoting the bucking bull industry through pedigree preservation; enhancement and promotion of bucking bull ownership, breeding, care and welfare; and development of programs and events showcasing the world’s finest American Bucking Bull animals. We are a registry set up to record and preserve the pedigrees of the world’s premier American Bucking Bull breed. ABBI is structured to promote participation by those with the biggest stake in the bucking bull industry – the owners, breeders and trainers of the world’s greatest bucking bulls. We provide an environment where bucking bull breeders can introduce and foster the growth of young bucking bulls ensuring the finest animal athletes are available to compete at selected PBR Elite Tour and PBR Touring Pro events. HISTORY ABBI started in 2004 and then began a rapid expansion of its business beginning in 2008 through the registration, verification and maintenance of pedigrees for the American Bucking Bull breed; the organization, management and promotion of “world class” programs and events benefit- ing stock owners; and providing incentives, benefits and opportunities for ABBI’s owners and members which enhance the value and integrity of the American Bucking Bull breed. The ABBI affords bucking bull breeders the opportunity to bring their animal athletes to PBR sanctioned events to compete against one another for a world championship held at the end of the season. DNA REGISTRY INFORMATION ABBI currently has 201,000 animals registered in its DNA database. Breeders are from across the United States and Canada and ABBI has now expanded into Australia and Brazil. ABBI will continue to develop and operate a comprehensive pedigree registration and record information retention program focused exclusively on the world’s finest American Bucking Bull stock. The reg- istry is accessible exclusively to breeders of ABBI and authorized members of the press. Contact [email protected] for more information. One of the most important parts to the sport of bull riding and its four-legged athletes is the media and the support we receive from all of you. With your help we are able to reach new fans and bovine enthusiasts. ABBI would like to make your experience while covering the sport of bull riding and its bovine athletes enjoyable, informative and surprising. Through ABBI, you will get a unique and fascinating aspect to “the other side of the ride”. With this Media Guide, we hope to provide you with new knowledge and information about these amazing bovine athletes, those responsible for their existence and the individuals behind them. WHAT DOES THE ABBI DO SPECIFICALLY? ABBI has developed a series of bucking bull events, consisting of Yearling (1-year-old), Futu- rities (2-year-olds, including Junior and Cowgirl Futurities), Derby (3-year-old) and Classic (3 and 4-year-old) competitions. This includes the year-end Futurity Wild Card event in Duncan, OK and Classic Wild Card event in Las Vegas. The Top 5 Wild Card bulls join the top 35 year-end ranked bulls for the annual ABBI Classic World Finals held in conjunction with the PBR World Finals. ABBI’s core mission is to record and preserve the pedigrees of the world’s premier bucking bull lineage while maintaining and enhancing the integrity and value of The American Bucking Bull breed. ABBI also provides beneficial services for ABBI members which improve and enable “best practices” in bucking bull ownership, breeding, care, training and welfare. Additionally, ABBI is vested in generating interest and growth in ABBI through ownership, membership, education, sponsorship and involvement through marketing, promotion, advertising and publicity of The American Bucking Bull breed, ABBI membership benefits, services, competition and events. ABBI works diligently to develop diverse and comprehensive programs and events that educate and familiarize owners, members, the general public and the media in the unique heritage, history and qualities of The American Bucking Bull. Since I was a college graduate, single, broke, and living with my dad, I felt like a failure. It was one of the most depressing periods in my life but eventually I found the rodeo arena. I started riding bulls and for the first time in a long while, I felt like I was worthy. Rodeo is not like other sports. In most sports, the athlete shares the stage with many other people at the same time. In basketball, football, baseball, and track and field, there is never a time when a participant can be confident that every single spectator is watching nobody else but him. In rodeo, every competitor gets his or her moment in the sun.

Four-legged, 1,600-pound Athlete Looks to Continue His Historical Streak in Louisville This Weekend! Professional Bull Riders' (PBR) World Champion Bull Bushwacker Goes for 41st Consecutive Buckoff at Louisville, Kentucky’s KFC Yum! Center April 13-14 The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) stops in Louisville, Ky. this weekend at the KFC Yum! Center for the PBR Built Ford Tough Series Bass Pro Chute Out presented by Jack Daniels Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. During Sunday’s Built Ford Tough Championship Round , the bucking chute gate will open and two-time World Champion Bull Bushwacker of Julio Moreno Bucking Bulls will get a chance to extend his already historic streak of consecutive buckoffs. Having already shattered the previous record of 35 consecutive buckoffs, he is currently at 40 and odds indicate he will dump his 41st consecutive cowboy in Louisville. All of the action airs on CBS Sports Network Sunday, April 14 at 5 p.m. ET. Either way, history is going to be made this weekend; Bushwacker will continue his unprecedented success, or a cowboy will finally complete an 8-second ride atop this amazing animal athlete. Bushwacker has not been ridden successfully since 2009 and has maintained an impressive average buckoff time of 2.38 seconds. PBR fans know they are witnessing something special every time he sets hooves in an arena. This is bull riding’s equivalent of DiMaggio’s 56-game hitting streak, bringing excitement and anticipation each time this bovine bruiser gets into a chute. Amazingly, Bushwacker didn’t let arthroscopic surgery on his rear fetlocks (ankles) in January 2012 get in the way of his career, as he has returned to the sport better than ever.
