HE traditional rule book when it comes to what to wear if you are one of the wedding party is long gone. The first rule is, thTere are no rules - only that the outfit suits your personality, figure and style. The day of the stand-alone dress is almost gone, especially at this time of year. Wraps, jackets or coats are now an essential part of an outfit. Headpieces and hats are important to complete a look but just as important are shoes, jewellery and bags. If you are still looking for that fabulous dress one of my favourites is the fitted silhouette and Bardot neckline. It’s a classic, timeless elegant look. Another of my favourites is the scalloped sweetheart neckline. It is sure to be a talking point at any wedding with a cascading tulle skirt with thin horsehair trim. The wedding day is also a big day for mother of the bride/groom too. But, again, remember you are free to go as subtle or as bold as you c h o o s e. Bridesmaids work hard and are key to the big day so it is only right that they get to look fabulous too. In relation to the groom, best man etc, again it’s about suiting their personality. They can opt for the latest suiting styles or the more traditional looks. For those in search of some inspiration then the Mid-West Bridal Exhibition at UL Sports Arena on Saturday, January 11 and Sunday, January 12 is a must! Doors open at 12 noon each day. Shorts: I bought my shorts in Zara even though they we re n ’t my size, I just co u l d n’t leave them behind. I took them to Zip Yard alterations and they tailored them for me so they’d be the perfect fit. I love these because you can also dress them up with heels or if you wanted to go for a more casual look flat boots would be lovely with them too.

Shoes: My boots are from PrettyLittleThing, an online shop. These are known as sock boots and I find them so comfortable as the heel i s n’t too high.
