The recalled Mike Foltynewicz from the mi- nor league on Monday, hoping the hard-throwing right-hander can regain the form that made him an All-Star last season. A roster spot became available when Kevin Gausman was claimed off waivers by the Cincinnati Reds. Foltynewicz was 13-10 with a 2.85 ERA in 2018 and started two games for the Braves in the play- offs. But he struggled to get past an injury that put him behind sched- ule during spring training and was demoted to the minors on June 22 after going 2-5 with a 6.37 ERA in 11 starts.
