A 1989 graduate from Quinnipiac College with a degree in Interna- tional Business, Holguin began his coaching career in Houston, Texas. From 1993-97, he was the head coach of the men and women’s club soc- cer program at the University of Houston. He was also involved as a coach with the South Texas Olympic Development Program and was the Director of Player Development and Coaching with the Alliance Soccer Program. Holguin remains involved with the Olympic Development Program in . He was also the Director of Player Development and Coaching for the River Valley Soccer Club from 1999-2003. Holguin re- turned to the role in 2008. Holguin, who lives in Marietta, earned a master’s degree in Education from Marietta College in 2008.

President, Dr. Jean A. Scott A new era began at Marietta College on July 15, 2000, when Dr. Jean A. Scott arietta field M arietta became the 17th President of the College.
