Acclaimed as councillor for Ward Four in 2010, he pre- viously served as a councillor for a decade in the former township of Tosorontio. A long time employee of Honda Canada, Gauley also served as a township volunteer firefighter for almost 20 years. He is survived by his wife Lise, his four children, two grandchildren and his sister and four brothers. Town hires new building inspector BY WENDY GABREK The Town of New Tecumseth, under the direction of council, has hired a new building inspector to uphold the town’s building code by-laws. Stephen Lewis will now carry out the duties of the ad- ministration and enforcement of the Building Code Act. Lewis replaces previous inspector, Larry Callicragas, and is qualified to conduct inspections regarding the con- struction of residential dwellings with the professional des- ignation of: Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.).
