Dr. Gisele Zandman-Goddard is the Head of the Department of Medicine C at the Wolfson Medical Center. She is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Goddard completed her clinical and research fellowship in Rheumatology and Immunology, at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York where she specialized in autoimmune diseases particularly systemic lupus erythematosus. Dr. Goddard worked for 16 years at at Tel-Hashomer. She served as a senior physician in the Department of Medicine B (1991-2005), and as a rheumatologist in the Rheumatology Unit (1999-2006). She established and supervised the Lupus Clinic at Sheba Medical Center (2000-2005). Scientific efforts: Dr. Goddard is currently involved in national and international research projects dealing with autoimmune diseases and particularly lupus. Her fields of interest are mechanisms for the development of lupus and the treatment of autoimmune diseases with intravenous immunoglobulin. She is the Wolfson Medical Center’s representative and member of the SLERI (SLE Registry in ), a national effort to establish a database on all of the SLE patients in Israel for research purposes.
