Class of 2004

Weston Dressler was born on June 14, 1985, in Bismarck, North Dakota. At Bismarck High School, he was a multi-sport athlete; as a sophomore, he was a First Team All-State receiver on the 2001 State Football Championship Team. As a senior, Dressler ran for over 2,100 yards and 40 touchdowns, earning him the 2003 North Dakota Gatorade Football Player of the Year. Dressler led the Demons Track Team to the 2004 state title. He won the 100, 200, and 400 meters, setting state records in the 100 and 200, and was named North Dakota Gatorade Track and Field Athlete of the Year. He graduated as a valedictorian from Bismarck High School in 2004.

In March 2009, Weston Dressler’s #2 Bismarck High School football jersey was retired.

Dressler continued his education and football career at the University of North Dakota from 2004-2008. As a true freshman, he led the nation in return yards for the Fighting Sioux. From 2005-2007, he led UND in all receiving categories as well as punt and kickoff returns.

Dressler was named All-NCC First Team four consecutive years. He was a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy given to the top Division II player in the nation, an Academic All-American, and a semifinalist for the Draddy Trophy given to the nation’s top Scholar Athlete. Dressler graduated from the University of North Dakota in 2008 with a Degree in Business Management and a 14-time All-American with 19 school records.

In May 2008, Dressler signed a free agent contract with the Roughriders of the League. In his first year, he led the Roughriders in receptions, receiving yards, and all-purpose yards. He went on to win the 2008 Rookie of the Year award for the CFL. Dressler enjoyed continued success in his next five years in the CFL. He was a four-time West Division All-Star and a two-time CFL All-Star. In November 2013, Dressler and the won the 101st on their home field.

In February 2014, Weston signed a free agent contract with the Kansas City Chiefs of the .
