COMPETITION WINNERS 1ST and 2nd SEMESTER

TRIATHLON

1. Last June 9, 2012 at the Narra Park, Ayala Alabang, Beatrice Arkoncel of Grade 6 competed in the Animo Sprint Triathlon. She won 3rd place in the Super Trikids Girls Division Ages 11-12.

SKATING

1. Last May 21-24, 2012 Thea Gracielle Gomez of Grade 2 participated in the Summerskate 2012 at SM Mall of Asia., Pasay City. She won 2nd place in the said competition.

2. Last May 21-24, 2012, Kyra Eunice Lagrosas of Grade 5 competed in the Summer Skates 2012 at the SM Mall of Asia and Southmall. She won 1st and 3rd place in the themed couple and Alpha categories.

3. Last October 5, 2012, Elia Mariel Mendoza of Grade 6 competed in the 2012/2013 Asian Junior Figure Skating Challenge in Hongkong. She won First Place in the Basic Novice Subgroup A for girls.

4. Last January 5-17, 2013, Elia Mariel Mendoza of Grade 6 successfully completed her training in the Winter Sports Academy during the Dream Program 2013, held at Pyeongchang, Gaungwon Province, Korea.

SWIMMING

1. Last May 26, 2012 at Xavier School, San Juan, Skye Bernadette Santos of Grade 5 participated in the Speedo Jusmpstart Novice Swim Carnival. She won a bronze medal for 25 meter freestyle in the 100 meter all girls 10 years old category. She also got a 25 meter finisher medal for all style.

2. Last May 28, 2012, Jerielle Barrientos of Grade 5 competed in the SPEEDO Jumpstart Novice Swim Carnival. She won a silver medal for backstroke and a bronze medal for breast stroke.

3. Last may 19, 2012, Ysabelle Vitoria Laluces of Grade 3 participated in the Bert Lozada’s First Plunge Novice swim Meet at Xavier School, Greenhills, San Juan. She won silver medals in the following categories: butterfly, breaststroke , freestyle and freestyle relay and bronze medals in backstroke and medley relay.

Like wise, she also participated in the Phil. swimming league or PSL-DPS Motivatonal Swim Meet last June 10, 2012 at Diliman Preparatory School, Commonwealth Ave. Q.C. She won gold medals in the following categories: butterfly, backstroke, freestyle, and breaststroke.

4. Last May 8-12, 2012 Regina Maria Paz Castrillo of Grade 6 competed in the National Capital Region Palarong Pambansa in Lingayen, Pangasinan. She won 5 Gold Medals for 50 meter Freestyle and Butterfly, 100 meter Butterfly, 50 and 100 meter Medley Relay medley categories.

She also qualified to represent Team Philippines last June 1-3, 2012 in the Southeast Asian Age Group Swimming Competition in South Sumatra Indonesia. She placed 4th in the 200 meter Butterfly event with improved time. She was a first timer and one of the youngest swimmer in the whole league.

She also competed in the Batang Pinoy NCR Finals held last September 18-20, 2012 at the Marikina Sports Complex. She won the following:

a. 5 Gold Medals for:  50 meter freestyle  200 meter individual medley  50 meter butterfly  100 meter butterfly and broke the existing record and is now the new meet record holder  200 meter butterfly b. 1 Silver Medal for 4x50 meter medley

She is now part of the team NCR which will represent NCR in the National Finals in Iloilo in December.

Last December 5-8, 2012, Regina Maria Paz Castrillo of Grade 6 garnered 5 gold Medals in the recently concluded Philippine Youth Games (Batang Pinoy National Championships) in Iloilo. She won in the following categories.

 50, 100 and 200 meter butterfly  50 meter freestyle  200 meter individual medley  She also won a silver medal for 4x50 medley freestyle relay.

5. Last May 26, 2012, Allyssa Charise Andal of Grade 5 competed in the PCA Stingrays Swim Meet 2012 at Philippine Columbian Association, Plaza Dilaw, Paco Manila. She won Gold Medals in the 50 meter Backstroke.

6. Last may 31, 2012 Cyron Thialyn Opeña of Grade 1 competed in the XIPHIAS GLADUS swimming competition for 6 year old bracket held at XIPHIAS GLADUS Complex. She won Gold medal for 25 meter Freestyle, Silver medals for 25 meter Backstroke and 50 meter Backstroke/Breaststroke selection and a Bronze medal for 25 meter Butterfly.

7. Last April 20, 2012 Chloe Anne Marie Fabic of Grade 4 competed in the St. Charbel Swimming Competition at St. Charbel Executive Village. She won Gold Medals in the Freestyle, Butterfly, Breaststroke and Backstroke categories.

 Last July 22, 2012 she also competed in the FIRST CALIXTO-RUBIANO Swimming Championship 2012 (26th LEG Series PSL Swim Competition) in Pasay City, Sports Complex She won Bronze medals in the freestyle and Butterfly categories.

 Last August 4-5, 2012 She also competed in the 8th SICC Swimming Competition/Championship in Singapore Island Country Club. She won 6th place over-all ranking for freestyle 50 and 100 meters and 8th place in the over- all ranking for butterfly 50 meters.

8. Last July 22, 2012 during the 1st CALIXTO-RUBIANO Swimming Championship 2012 (26th LEG series PSL Swim Competition) in Pasay City, Sports Complex. The following students joined the said competition:  Julia Jopson Grade 4 – 2nd place , Silver medal, Butterfly category  Ileana del Rosario - Grade 4, 2 Silver medal and 2 Bronze medal, Butterfly , Breaststroke and Freestyle categories  Chloe Anne Fabic of Grade 4 – 2 bronze medals for Freestyle and Butterfly categories

9. Last October 7, 2012 Juliana Margaret Arriola of Grade 2 competed in the PSL- DPS BC Swim Competition in the 7-8 age group events at Diliman Preparatory School Commonwealth. She won the following medals:  25 meter Butterfly – Bronze  25 meter Backstroke and 25 meter Freestyle – Silver  25 meter Breaststroke – Gold

10. Last October 7, 2012, Chloe Fabic of Grade 4 competed in the PSL-DPS BC Swim Competition at Diliman Preparatory School, Commonwealth . She won the following medals:  Butterfly, Breaststroke, Freestyle – Gold  Backstroke – Bronze

11. Last December 1, 2012, Juliana Margaret M. Arriola of Grade 2 competed in the 5th St. Marie Eugene (SME) Swim Cup at Assumption Antipolo.

She won in the following 7-8 year old events:  25m Breaststroke – Bronze  25m Back Stroke – Silver  25m Freestyle and Butterfly – Gold

12. Last December 28, 2012 Chloe Anne Marie Fabic of Grade 4 competed in the 1st Congressman Omar O. Ebdane Interschool / Interclub Swimming Competition at Iba Sports Complex, Iba Zambales.

She won the following awards:  Most Outstanding swimmer (MOS) Age 10, open category  Gold Medals in the individual events for 100m freestyle, butterfly and freestyle  Bronze medal in the individual event 50m backstroke  Gold medals in the relay category 200m IM relay (individual medley) and 200m freestyle relay.

13. Last January 20, 2013 STC was represented by the following girls Ramone Margarita Belmonte (Grade 4), Chloe Marie Fabic (Grade 4), Julia Jopson (Grade 5) and Regina Marie Paz Castrillo (Grade 6) in the 2013 SPEEDO ALL GIRLS INTERSCHOOL SWIMMING COMPETITION at Xavier school.

They won medals in the following events:  Chloe Marie Fabic – Gold medal in the 50m freestyle Silver medal in the 50m butterfly 2 bronze medal for in the 50m Backstroke, 200m Individual medley  Regina Marie Paz Castrillo – 5 Gold medals in the 100mIndividual Medley, 50m Butterfly, 50m Backstroke, 50m Freestyle, and 50m Breastroke. She was also able to establish a new meet record in the 50m Butterfly, 50mBackstroke and 50m Freestyle events.

 The school (STC) landed 5th place overall among 33 school teams that entered the competition.

BALLET

1. Last July 20 -22, 2012, Ramona Ysabel Yatco competed in the 14th Asia Pacific Dance Competition, in Hongkong. She and her Dance Troup won the first place in the age 7-9 category.

2. Last July 20-22, 2012 the following girls competed in the 14th ASIA Pacific Dance Competition in Hongkong they are:

a. Leila Madeline Caro of 5-Reverence b. Louise Tizon of 5-Counsel c. Eula Tizon of 4-Deborah

 They won 2nd place in the Dance Troupe category and Champion in the School category.

BOOK WRITING

Anelka Lumbao of Grade 5 together with her mother Anne Lumbao wrote the Book entitled “BUT THAT WON’T WAKE ME UP”. This book won the 1st Filipino Choice Awardee for Children’s Picture Book.

ART COMPETITION

Sophia Beatriz Capuz of Grade 1 competed in the Global Art 4th National Competition last September 16, 2012 at Glorietta 4, Makati, City. She placed 2nd runner up in the category B of the said competition.

CHESS

Last November 19, 2012, Sunpreet Aulakh of Grade 5 competed in the Milo Chess Checkmate Clinic at Whiz Child, D. Tuazon , Retiro. She won a gold medal

BADMINTON

1. Last November 24, 2012, Carylle Keona Ilano and Pamela Angeli Nate of Grade 3 competed in the PALO PARA SA KAPWA, Invitational Badminton Tournament at city walk badminton court Malolos city, Tabang Bulacan. They won a silver medal for first runner-up (Girls doubles age 9 and below)

WUSHU

Last January 20, 2013 Elyz Terri Ann R. Lutap of Grade 6 competed in the Wushu Discovery Friendship Games at the 4th level Annex Bldg., SM North Edsa.

She won bronze medals in the following events: Bare Hands and Short Weapon.

SPEED STACKING

Last December 22, 29, 2012 and January 4, 2013, Gabrielle Panopio of Grade 4competed in the World Sport Stacking Association Competition at Edsa- Shangrila Mall, Rustan’s Makati, and Podium. She won 2 gold medals and a bronze medal for the said competition.

ARCHERY

Last January 27, 2013, Emily Baculinao of Grade 6competed in the ManilaPolo Club’s Archery Spring Meet. She won 2 silver medals one from the qualifying round and the other is from the Olympic round both in girl’s bowman division.

QUIZ BEE

Last February 2, 2013, Carla Tayam of Grade 6 and Mhelissa Ann Therese Madrid of Grade 6 won 3rd place in the Earths Systems Quiz Bee at St. Stephen High School.

Last March 9, 2012 at Dep Ed Main Building, Meralco Ave, Pasig City. The following girls made it to the final, oral round of the Kulturang Pinoy Quiz Whiz:

TAEKWONDO

Last February 24, 2013, Sunday at Don Bosco Makati, the following girls competed in Taekwondo. They are as follows:

1. Nicole Katherine Neri of Grade 4 – Bronze medal for sparring. 2. Chiel Salazar of Grade 4 – Gold Medals for sparring and forms, Bronze medal for Taekwondo dance. 3. Marel Salazar of Grade 1 – Bronze for Taekwondo dance. 4. Fides Sebastian of Grade 4 – Silver medals for sparring, forms and breaking. 5. Ma. Angeline Brigino of Grade 2 – Silver medal for sparring and Bronze medal for forms. 6. Mariane Astada of Grade 2 - Gold medal for forms and Silver medal for sparring. 7. Sofia Peralta of Grade 6 – Gold medal for sparring and Bronze medals for forms and breaking. 8. Gielyn Goling of Grade 6 – Bronze medals for sparring and forms. 9. Darielle Astada of Grade 6– Silver medals for forms and breaking and Bronze Medal for sparring. 10. Alexandra Palacio of Grade 6 - Gold medal for sparring, Bronze for forms and was given the title Youngest 2nd DAN black belter of NCR. 11. Andrea Luise Dayo of Grade 4 – Silver medal for Forms and Bronze medal for Sparring
