It is internship work experience, generally three days a week for six months with the ideal outcome resulting in paid employment. Nurture are involved with the internship for Cameron Carrington via Farnborough Technology College. Assisted by Zoe Lehan, Job Coach at the college, we have organised it for Cameron, a young person with some learning difficulties to start work with us as he has an interest in working outdoors. Cameron's supported internship will be until July. He will be with us 3 days per week, helping with all GM tasks except those that have the use of a hedge cutter and ride on. Cameron will be treated as a regular member of the staff and will go through the same process as all new staff members. Cameron has been supplied uniform and all PPE and has been inducted and had an internal assessment for all duties which include pedestrian mower. He is very enthusiastic and during his time with us will be assessed for potential apprenticeships with Nurture.
