Both state parks offer nature trails, and an added feature at Sequoyah State Park includes riding stables and equestrian trails. Both parks also hold Fourth of July celebrations. When spending any time spent outdoors, precautions need to be taken. “We are advising people to use sunscreen,” McClellan said. “Be aware of shallow areas.
