Prayer to Saint Kateri Tekakwitha St. Kateri Tekakwitha, favored child and Lily of the Mohawks, I come to seek your in my present need: (mention it). I admire the virtues which adorned your soul: love of God and neighbor, humility, obedience, patience, purity and the spirit of sacrifice. Help me to imitate your example in my state of life. Through the goodness and mercy of God, Who has blessed you with so many graces which led you to the true faith and to a high degree of holiness, pray to God for me and help me. Obtain for me a very fervent devotion to the Holy Eucharist so that I may love Holy Mass as you did and receive Holy Communion as often as I can. Teach me also to be devoted to my crucified Savior as you were, that I may cheerfully bear my daily crosses for love of Him Who suffered so much for love of me. Most of all, I beg you to pray for me that I may avoid sin, lead a holy life and save my soul. Amen. OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD Shine God's Light! Operation Christmas Child partners with churches worldwide to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After receiving shoebox gifts, many children are catechized through our Bible study course, The Greatest Journey, where they learn to become faithful followers of Christ and share their faith with others. The outreach program has reached more than 100 million children living in poverty and war. St. Kateri has touched the lives of more than 400 children and will influence more again this year. There is time left to make your own shoebox filled with much needed and loving gifts. Please choose a boy or girl, ages 2- 14 years old, and include: non-fragrance soap, school supplies, hard candy, toys, balls, toy cars, hair accessories, etc., and $7 ship- ping donation. Information brochures to complete w/shoebox are available at the Faith Formation Building. Completed shoeboxes due Thursday, November 19th at the Faith Formation building.
