As a result, this thesis is mainly concerned with the capacity of words, iterated within the archive of social media, to haunt us— both culturally and informatically. Through hauntology, this study hopes to understand a modern discourse community that is bound by an epideictic framework that specializes in the deconstruction of the individual’s ethos via the constant demonization and incitement of past, current, and possible social media expressions. The primary goal of this study is to understand how these practices function within a capitalistic framework and mirror the performativity of capital by reducing affective human interactions to that of a transaction.

FREE GOING OFF ALARMING: VOLUME 2: THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY PDF Danny Baker | 272 pages | 05 Jan 2016 | Orion Publishing Co | 9781780226088 | English | London, United Kingdom Going Off Alarming: The Autobiography: Vol 2 by Danny Baker I will also be filling a few holes that I left in the previous decades. For example, I managed to forget in Book One that I had been shot. It told the exploits of Danny's extraordinary childhood and the wild living of his teenage years. Now, he is 25 and it isand he embarks on an accidental and anxiety-induced career in television - going off alarming. With rollicking good stories from what he describes as 'a frankly crackpot life', Danny continues this stupendous chronicle with irrepressible verve and hilarity. Dozens of TV shows - many of them lousy - give up their backstage stories, and Danny's extraordinary family, Going off Alarming: Volume 2: The Autobiography his father Going off Alarming: Volume 2: The Autobiography, react to the ride throughout. Any autobiography that opens with the author being shot in the buttocks demands your complete attention. The funniest book Dylan Jones has read all year. Baker loves a tale told at his own expense and they come thick and fast. He writes like he speaks, with hyperactive garrulity and a rhetorical flourish. Book three will doubtless be out for next Christmas but, when it comes to the Pangloss of Deptford, you are happy to forgive him the indulgence. Like its predecessor, the book is a hoot from soup to nuts, easily as funny, as self-deprecating and as worldly-wise as The Moon's A Balloon by David Niven.

  • Classic Radio 1 Schedules (1967-2004)
Frequency Finder UK (www.frequencyfinder.org.uk) Classic Radio 1 Schedules (1967-2004) October 1967 In the early years, Radio 1 was very different. It was originally conceived as a general popular music network, broadcasting easy listening, jazz, folk and country as well as pop and rock music. The intention was that it would opt out of the Light Programme with music when the Light was carrying a speech programme. This was largely the pattern in the first few years, with a lot of sharing between Radios 1 and 2, though the two stations did carry separate music programmes at breakfast and late afternoon. The daytime schedules didn't fully separate until the 1970s. Another feature of the early schedule is that many programmes featured different presenters on different days or in different weeks. A lot of the presenters floated between several shows.
